Summary: I've had the B2430HD for three years now, and the picture is still crisp and clear. I will note that the first model I received was dead on arrival, but this one has survived 4 moves (in the original box) and daily use for three years. As a computer monitor, there isn't much to complain about. I'm using it with a VGA cable on my laptop and it goes into standby properly and works great on 1080p with my Windows 7 x64. And this ends the positive section of this review.
Summary: The Best The Reason is this (pip) pitcher in pitcher. I can be on my computer on the main screen and watch and here my tv on the smaller screen. All so every thing is bright and clear and the screen on this thing is excellent. lots of connections in the back including hdmi ports. means less wires. I have had mine for 2 years and had no problems.
Summary: We already owned two of them when we decided we'd both like a spare. The only problem is it's and older model and not easy to find. Then we found the refurbed ones here. Both spares are used as TV's lol and not monitors. I was using my original one as both a computer monitor and watching TV with the PIP feature. Was awesome to get a second one to use as a stand alone TV that could also be a second monitor. I sometimes use it as a second monitor btw.
Summary: Great picture. I use this for work and have it mounted on my desk. The factory included stand, however, does not seem like it is engineered correctly. When attached, the monitor leans forward and is not straight, angling down toward the floor/desktop. If I had not planned to mount this, I would have returned it due to the stand.
Summary: Bought this monitor a few years ago at a local NEX. Awesome size, its just right at 23/24". Awesome Full HD Quality when fed a solid HD dignal or media. Had it for about 2 years and going strong since. Awesome colors and clarity!
Summary: Monitor worked fine when I purchased it in Sept 2012 - great picture & resolution - BUT stopped working today (Nov 24) in middle of my web browsing. Screen went black, could not get power to turn back on. Tried another Samsung monitor (my old one) using same cables, same PC - worked fine. When called Samsung "support" they asked questions seemingly designed to make the cause of problem (1) my PC's video card (2) my power source etc...anything but their defective monitor.
