Summary: I chose this rating because: I bought a Samsung SyncMaster 932B brand spanking new in 2007 from Staples and it's the only monitor that I have used with all my desktop computers since. That mean I've gone through several desktops, they've broken down, crapped out whatever you would call it and ended up smashed and in a dumpster and I've always kept my SyncMaster because it has always worked no problem.
Summary: I bought this LCD because I wanted a bigger monitor and I liked this brand because the picture quality is great. I have another monitor like this and have not had any problems with it so I bought another one. Great product for the money I spent.
Old product that still works good. Nearly as good as new LED technology.

Great monitor but need to calibrate and use your own ICC file

Summary: Unlike the others after three years with this monitor (knock wood) I have not had any problems with it. Initially I was not happy with the color settings even after trying to tune it manually. I installed the software that comes with it which includes a color / saturation / brightness tuner which allows you save the settings as an ICC profile. Then on bootup the software loads and loads the ICC profile ensuring the correct settings.
Summary: I don't know why everybody else seems to be having problems with this monitor. But I have had this one for over 2 years and it still looks brand new and runs great. Perfect for gaming. Only downside is that it may be a little small.
Summary: I've had this monitor for over 2 years now and its still going strong. It does a fine job now being my 2nd monitor to my laptop. I do photography and with monitor (with the right color profile) does not let me down when it comes to true color. I did have one problem with the VGA connection where the monitor started streaking lines across the screen (more noticeable on dark images). I had to get a $3 HDMI to DVI cable but the picture is back to normal.
Summary: What a horrible experience it was buying this monitor. I had this monitor for a year before it broke down. I take care of my stuff, so even after a year the monitor was looking new. Unfortunately, I can't take care of the insides when they use cheap parts. Samsung uses cheap parts in many of their monitors, which causes them to break after not too long.
Summary: The extra room that a flat screen gives you is fantastic, even though it is a much larger picture. The unit is lighter than the older ones and it's easier to dust around. There was a very good price on it and the shipping was very timely. I thought that my P C had gone kaput but it was only the old screen. I'm just happier than a cat in a milk barn.
Monitor Backlight Failed and No Response from Samsung

Summary: Basically, the monitor powers on, but there is no video connection because the backlight has failed. This has been documented online. I have emailed Samsung for support on this, but they haven't responded. I would not recommend this product, or Samsung.
