Summary: I've had a Samsung SyncMaster 913v for like... gads, how old is this thing? I got it in 2005 for a custom built 'puter. It's currently on a newer machine, and we're only going to replace it because larger monitors have become so darned inexpensive anymore (relatively speaking!
Summary: Do not buy Sumsung SyncMaster monitors. I bought a 913v and the thing went black after about a year of use. I troubleshooted it but something failed inside. Samsung obviously cut corners with this waste of a monitor. F rating. U for useless.
Summary: Bought as part of an upgrade - going from 15" to 19". As others have said, 5 minutes after opening the box it was up and running (although I had pre-loaded the driver from the Samsung website). Picture quality cannot be faulted - in my view - and the menus are simple enough. No dead pixels.
Good monitor, great price, adjustable angle stand on mine

Summary: I have just bought two of these monitors in order to run dual screens on my PC. They do exactly what I want of a monitor. Easy to set up and no dead pixels on either screen. Wide viewing angle too. Unlike Andy from London, my monitors have an adjustable angle.
Summary: I can highly recommend this screen. Excellent picture quality and fast refresh rate. The stand has a pivot so you can tilt the screen easily. I checked out the picture quality on cheaper screens at a major high-street store and the quality was nowhere near as good as Samsung.
Summary: This screen looks great and the picture is good, but the screen is not adjustable, the description said 'a simple stand' and they weren't wrong, you can't tilt it forward or backward. When sitting on the desk it's tilted forward slightly which means it's impossible to use without getting neck ache.
