Summary: i bought this monitor years ago. went out within the first 6 months. as many may know there was a rash of bad capacitors used in the manufacture of lots of different electronics and this monitor was one of them. It was purchased as refurbished so not sure if that was part of the issue or not. after lots of research i decided to repair it myself. once i opened it up the bad caps were obvious, they were busting out at the seams.
Summary: customizable, configurable, good graphics. I have spent time with this monitor has settings for each type of activity, the vision does not tire me, good response time in video games. Slim, lightweight, reclining.
Summary: I have had this monitor for over 2 years and its still in excellent condition. the screen is bright, no glare< and has amazing clarity. I know a lot about computers and i know that this is a very good monitor. i couldn't think of any cons.
Summary: I have 3 of them. Does that tell you how good these monitors are. I have a triple monitor setup using these monitors and I love them. The colors are bright and the details are crisp. The controls are easy to use and well laid out in the control menus. It took just a little tweaking to get the colors consistent across all three panels but once I got it there they look great. I've noticed no issues with refresh rate with gaming, probably because the refresh is so high.
Summary: I bought this monitor to use as an external monitor to my Macbook, which runs Mac OSX 10.5 (Leopard). The resolution is supposed to be 1440x900, but with my macbook, even after calibrating and setting the resolution through system preferences, the resolution is horrible. It appears that the same picture on my 14-inch screen has just been stretched to 19 inches. Samsung does not, apparently, offer a driver for Mac, and there seems to be no recourse.
Summary: I purchased 2 of these monitors to run as dual monitors off of my primary computer. Within one year, the back-light on one of them went out and had to be shipped back to the manufacturer for warranty repair and was gone for a few weeks. Soon after the warrant expired, the 2nd monitor went out and is now nothing more than a paper weight because the repairs are about 75% of a brand new one. I usually am a fan of Samsung, not in this case.
Summary: I've had this monitor for almost a year now, and the only complaint I have is that the stand is rather short. It works for me as I'm only 5'4, but if my boyfriend uses it, at 6'1, he has to look down. Otherwise, it's a great monitor and has served me very well.
Summary: I bought this monitor three weeks back and it adds beauty to my desk. Some pros and cons, + Wide screen + Sharp and clear display + Easy setup + Worth the money - Fixed stand Caution: Make sure your PC (motherboard) supports wide screen resolution.
