Summary: Recently sold my 23" Samsung SyncMaster after upgrading to a 27” monitor (different brand). Darn did I miss the Samsung!! Except for my new monitors bigger screen, every single thing was nicer on the Samsung… screen height/tilt customization, ability to change screen orientation 90, 180, 270 degrees, great picture, menu button panel located on the front of the monitor (NOT the underneath side of the screen where it’s easy to accidently hit buttons.

Summary: This is a very nice monitor for the price!I was very happily surprised to see how great the picture was,how the stand had different heights and how clean it was!I do have yet to find where to plug in the sound though,so I am hoping the sound is as great as the entire monitor!I actually downgraded from a 22 inch Vizio to this one because the 22 inch took up too much desk space.
Summary: I needed a second monitor for my home work computer, and this thing fits the bill perfectly. The picture is sharp and clear, even if it doesn't have the best contrast or the most vivid colors. You can snatch these things up for so cheap that they make excellent supplementary monitors if you are on a budget. The physical features are great, you can easily adjust the height or tilt the screen to perfectly align it with another monitor.
Summary: Arrived with no bad pixels (a good start, anyway). The unmounted pedestal attaches easily, once you figure it out -- not very intuitive, though. The mounting arm is collapsed in the box; it pops to its extended position quite aggressively after you remove the locking pin (keep the pin! You'll never get this dude back inside its box without it). The menu's touch-sensitive controls are invisible in the kind of subdued lighting in which most PC monitors should be used.
Summary: I got this to use as a second monitor for my 20" aluminum iMac. Didn't have the room or need for another widescreen monitor. Fits in great. The screen's physical height is exactly the same as the iMac and the stand lets me raise it to the same level. Pixel height is 26 lines less, but it's not noticable. The monitor comes with both a VGA and DVI cable! But for the iMac I needed to get a mini DVI to DVI adaptor from Apple. $20 if you don't already have one.
Summary: I have owned a Samsung 730 model for several years and this monitor is much better. I have a couple of older PCs so I couldn't use a widescreen monitor as my video cards coudl not handle it. This monitor is perfect for my needs. The one small glitch is that I use a windows XP PC and a linux PC with a KVM switch. The monitor came with software to rotate the screen under windows. The monitor's screen rotates 90 degrees.
Summary: Samsung SyncMaster 743BX 17" LCD Monitor I have had my Samsung SyncMaster 743 17" LCD monitor for three weeks. The monitor is great. I like the adjustable movements and the price. The monitor picture is also very good. I would play games using my old monitor and could not see the clues or picture very well. This monitor allows me to see all the cludes and/or pictures excellent. It was very easy to install, even for an "old lady".
