The SyncMaster 275T 27-inch LCD monitor just released by Samsung is laden with wonderful features like multiple USB ports, six-color hue/saturation adjustment, and component video input and featuring a resolution of 1920x1200. This is quite an attractive monitor, black with a relatively thin bezel. The controls are all up front and are easy to use, without overpowering the bezel and disfiguring the monitor. The on-screen menu buttons control is standard, but with nice features. The SyncMaster 275T also includes the gamma adjustment and 6-color hue and saturation control (red, green, blue, cyan, magenta, and yellow); with Samsung's “MagicColor” and “MagicBright” settings. The 6-color hue and saturation controls are great. The back of the display features standard DVI and VGA inputs, together with composite and S-Video, USB input, and two USB outputs. All of the main inputs are found underneath the screen, but the component and dual USB ports are found on the left side. Underneath there is a power switch along with the actual power port. At the bottom there is a Kensington security port. The array of inputs together with the picture in picture function, make the Samsung 275T seems like an ideal monitor to hook your game console or hi-def video player to in addition to your PC. This is quite perfect as long as the other device will handle all the video processing. The component inputs accept 1080i but not 1080p, and they have trouble resolving all the detail from a 1080i signal. The Samsung 275T comes with the brightness set at 59 with the contrast at 65. The RGB color tracking is absolutely fantastic. This monitor is beautiful and is up to your expectations. The SyncMaster 275T has some of the best color accuracy, temperature tracking, gamma curve, and widest color space of almost any desktop PC monitor.See less
