Summary: I'd be furious if I spent what my client did on this monitor to have fail a few weeks outside of warranty. In the end it was an assembly issue where Samsung didn't seat one of the rubber backlight mounts properly.
Pros: Great picture quality and repairable!. 12 hours/day for nearly 10 years!
Cons: I received this monitor after it failed shortly after it's warranty expired. After taking it apart and repairing an issue with the backlight tube's insulation it's worked fine ever since
Summary: This is an awesome monitor. It's BIG. You can look at two full pages of text side by side with some room to spare. Once I got used to this monitor, using smaller "normal" ones was like being locked up in a steamer trunk. The color quality is great. No dead pixels.
Summary: After much thought and reading reviews about the xxxxx I decided to go with this one despite it costing $ xxx more than the xxx. This clearly is superior and well worth the price. I use it for work and do not watch video or any sort of gaming. The fonts are extremely crisp even at very small sizes.
Summary: For years I've been using a 17" ViewSonic A75f for doing software development and graphics design. Using tools like Dreamweaver, Flash MX and Photoshop on a 17" was so frustrating. I considered a 20" LCD monitor, but if you start adding up how many square inches you gain, it just wasn't that much.
Summary: Couldn't pass on picking up this monitor now that the price is so low. Very satisfied with newegg, 4th purchase from them and service was great as usual. Monitor looks fantasic and I notice no ghosting on xxx.
Summary: I own a graphic design business and we just recently purchased 4 of the 243T Samsung 24 inch flat panel monitors. We can just say this, this is by far the best monitor we have ever used. We cannot find anything wrong with it at all. We can highy recommened it.
Summary: I had a choice between the Sony and the Samsung 243T. The major difference was size with the Samsung being larger. The refresh rate was a little slower. Since size does matter, I went with the Samsung 243T. The screen is absolutely marvelous. The clarity is outstanding.
