Summary: Bought 2 monitors from another vendor. One sent back due to one vertical column of stuck pixels. Original vendor unable to supply replacement monitor so purchased second through Amazon. Using both in duel monitor display mode. Very happy with monitors. Both used 8-10 hours a day.

Very happy with monitors. Both used 8-10 hours a day.
Summary: I am impressed with the way Samsung has come along with their electronic products. I bought a Samsung 56 inch DLP 6 months ago, and have been nothing but pleased. I'm confident this monitor will serve me just as well..
Pros: Nice monitor. No dead spots, or anomalies on the screen. Picture is pleasant to look at for extended work like I do. Physically, this monitor is sturdy, and well built. Appearance is sharp, professional, and dare I say...classy!! Thus far, I am pleased with almost everything.
Cons: I'm not totally sold on the way they made the base mate with the monitor. It could have been a little more secure. the base comes to a blade. The monitor just slides onto that blade. It works fine, but could have been designed with a little more thought. (Maybe a clip?...) This is just a nit pick...
Summary: Has some odd features that I don't really see using. The Auto Contrast is kind of neat, but when playing a game like BF2142, it not to great when going into shadows because it dims the screen. I can see this working if you are watching a movie to get the feel for the movie.
Pros: The monitor looks great. Very adjustable color settings. Nice Contrast. The monitor is easy to move from left to right. Samsung is a brand I trust. Will purchase again.
Cons: The stand is kind of odd, you have to work to tilt it up and down. I left the color settings as default, because after going throught the long process of setting it up with the disk, it just did not look right.
Summary: Very good monitor especially for the price. Picture is clear and colors bright and accurate. People who complain about the picture are expecting too much from a budget monitor, even with that is rivals the picture of my CRT's.
Summary: This is a really nice monitor for the cash you spend. The stand DOES NOT wobble, it is very sturdy. The picture is outstanding with NO bleed...and NO ghosting. The buttons are kind of hard to reach and its a bit of a pain to use them. The monitor weighs in at 11.5 lbs.
Summary: If you are looking for a widescreen monitor at a reasonable price, this may be the one. The Pros: Appearance: The actual appearance of the monitor is very nice. It features a glossy piano finish that really stands out and makes it appear very high-end.
Summary: I just purchased this Samsung 2253 for my linux box. Took off my old old CRT and hooked it up. WOW! I was surprised, I didn't have to do anything (I didn't even have to fiddle with the X settings). Works great.
