Summary: I just wanted to know why there aren't more of these 120hz monitors around? Why isnt Sam***g making anymore of these? Please make more!!! I've been trying to find one. I can't seem to find one at this price that has as good reviews as this one.
Summary: If you're worried about this not being a true 120hz monitor then I'm here to tell you not to worry at all. This game can handle 120 FPS easily. This is also coming from someone who hated LCD monitors.
Pros: Very beautiful monitor. I love it... Smooth gameplay with games like COD and QuakeLive and the picture quality is excellent. Received my monitor in 2 days.
Summary: Some have noted some light bleed on top and bottom of screen and also poorly designed base....But I didn't experience either of these issues. setup took less than 5 minutes. With the onscreen menu it was up and running @ 120 Hz 1680 x 1050
Pros: This monitor is the best purchase I've made for my gaming system, hands down. The picture quality is beautiful bright and crisp.I found the over quality to be excellent.
Summary: You should know this monitor doesn't have any height adjustment or tilt, and only one DVI input. Still, this monitor is absolutely perfect for what it is. If you want a 120Hz monitor, THEN YOU NEED THIS MONITOR! :D
Pros: The title says it all. The display quality looks great and I have not seen any ghosting at all! This is expected if you've read a single review on this monitor.
Summary: The OSD on this display is nice, my older LCD had a barebones menu so it was refreshing to get something with a menu that has a lot of settings. Out of the box the picture quality was pretty terrible, the brightness was maxed and the contrast was too high. Also everything had a blue tint.
Pros: 120Hz screen is a big pro on this monitor. As other people have stated it makes a difference even on the desktop. I'm using windows 7, and a lot of things on the desktop seem a lot smoother. The biggest difference I noticed was when moving around windows, there's less of a trail when moving windo...
Cons: It's still a TN panel, and still uses a CCFL backlight. The backlight bleed isn't bad, as other people have said it has a little bleed on the top and bottom edge of the screen, and it's only noticable on a black screen. I came from an IPS panel so the colors seem a little washed out. They looked ...
Summary: Read: http://www.xbitlabs.com/articles/monitors/display/samsung-sm2233rz_11.html#sect0 That's the conclusion - I found that my opinions matched up well with this author's findings.
Pros: + 120hz refresh is completely WICKED SICK (ut2k4 reference...) for *competitive* gaming without 3D Vision turned on (which is pointless for competitive gaming anyways). What do I mean? Ghosting is more reduced on this beast than any other monitor I've ever tried, for one - but also, all those jer...
Cons: - The stand is pretty poor for front/back tipping support. I almost want to find a different stand for it as long as it's going to last a while. - MagicBright is useless in all but 3D Vision mode, it causes serious problems in dark scenes because it turns down the brightness by itself...Samsung, ...
Summary: Great over all performance in all games. I dont care about 3D technology yet since its another 400$.... 4.5/5
Pros: Amazing for all of you pro gamers, especially for cs1.6 players where refreshrate is crucial. 120HZ- AMAZING.
Cons: One of the big cons is this monitor sometimes does not display black colors properly they look like washed up grays (i have very good eyes so i notice that) for all of you conventional users, its very hard to see. Second con is no HDMI... would be nice to have .
Summary: Great monitor, I got it from EDLL a while back because newegg was out of them. I know there are other 120hz monitors out there at higher resolutions and, yes, you do pay a premium for the number 120, but the results are astounding and your games will run very smooth.
Pros: I bought this monitor solely for the 120hz capability. The monitor performs brilliantly in every 120hz respect, although is lacking in others. I was noticing a lot of horizontal tearing in my games, and Vsync was adding too much mouse lag to play competitive CSS or TF2. Haven't tried 3D yet, the ...
Cons: Stand is wobbly, most monitor stands are. I have mine propped against my other samsung monitor and they both stay still. Discolored pixel smack dab in the middle of the screen. Have yet to try to massage it out or mess with it because I only see it on a red background. I understand discolored/ de...
Summary: Definitely worth the bucks even if you arent going for 3d gaming.
Pros: The best looking image on a monitor I have ever seen. Makes other monitors I have used look like dirty mutts when you put them side by side. The 120hz and contrast makes for an unparalleled rich vibrant image.
Cons: stand... weeble wobble is the key phrase. Put it on a solid surface to isolate vibrations and your gtg.
