Summary: Would recommend you buy it as Samsung's warranty service is good. Otherwise, find another 3D monitor.
Pros: Monitor works great for 3D and 2D viewing. There is a small amount of interlacing or something when using the 3D mode of Nvidia 3D vision but otherwise the picture is always perfect.
Cons: Worked great for a year then the backlight would shut off after a few minutes of use. Finally got to the point where a few seconds of use would cause it to shut off. Returned to Samsung for a repair under warranty, they paid shipping and fixed it in a reasonable time. One week after getting it ba...
Summary: monitor works fine, great condition no scratches... however i received a single link plain dvi cable which does not work with this monitor! so include into the cost an extra 10$ to buy an extra cable.
Summary: I have had the monitor for about two months now and it is a good monitor though a little expensive given its size. The 120hz refresh rate keeps my games smooth and crisp, I have not gotten the 3D Vision kit yet so have not yet tested its 3D capability but am looking forward to it.
Summary: I have not tried the 3d glasses so I am just commenting on my experience with 120hz use non 3d. If you are not planning on going 3d at all, don't waste the money here as this one is already over a year old and its replacement is on its way if not out alreadyl
Pros: Allows VSYNC to match 120 FPS if you can get a new enough game to sustain that frame rate, and its easier on your eyes for sure.
Cons: Make sure your video card supports higher than single link for DVI... single link allows for a refresh rate of no higher than 75Hz for 1680x1050. It does come with the correct cable to support 120Hz if your card will go double.
Summary: I owned this monitor for a month with the 3d vision, after playing Resident evil 5 and other games in 3d this monitor is aren't that good. When enabled 3d device the screen is sluggish and kinda lagging barely can see creating blurry images.
Summary: 3D Vision aside, this is still a great monitor. However considering 3D Vision is one of this monitor's main purposes and it frankly needs work in that area, I can't give it more than a 3 egg. If you're looking to get a 3D Vision display, your best option is a DLP TV.
Pros: First of all, I write and score this review based on the monitor being the flagship 3D Vision display Nvidia suggests with their glasses. In this area, it excels in some places but leaves much to be desired in others. Where it excels, it shows. Going to 120 Hz in non-3D mode was a noticeable impr...
Cons: A big one. REALLY big. Whenever you enter 3D Stereo mode, the brightness is locked at 100 (the awful blaring maximum), and the contrast is locked at 75. Oh, and by the way, all other color settings are locked and brought to a godawful pre-set as well. After a brief conversation with someone from ...
Summary: I can't understand how this screen can do 1680x1050 @ 120hz but can't do the same refresh rate at lower supported resolutions. It just doesn't make sense. I wish they would have mentioned that before I bought it.
Pros: On native resolution 1680x1050, 120hz looks amazing.
Cons: - 120hz ONLY supported on native resolution according to their online tech support. - Bluish tint on default settings, had to lower blue color from 50 to 25 to get it to look normal. - Resolution scaling leaves text blurred. - Base stand very hard to mount. - Not worth the price for what you get.
Summary: I cannot wait to get my RMA monitor back, so I can bump this up to a 5, like it should be.
Pros: Beautiful display, combined with Windows 7, the view was just beautiful. Counter Strike: Source looked completley different, in a very good way. This monitor is really good, when it is alive.
Cons: Was heading to bed, first night having the monitor, and I set my computer to sleep mode, which is what I usually do. Come back next morning, and the power light is flashing like crazy, I call up samsung, they say its dead.
Summary: Overall it's a good buy for a gamer, counter-strike looks awesome too. If you don't like monitors with light bleeding from the edges, this is not for you then.
Pros: - 120 Hz, looks awesome in games... very smooth on windows too... left 4 dead looks pretty cool!
Cons: - Huge light bleed from every side of the monitor.. if you put up a black screen you can notice it easily. If it weren't for the 120 hz, I'd never buy this monitor - Expensive just for the 120 Hz - Stand very wobbly and very difficult to assemble (it makes you think that you're gonna break it)
