Summary: Old but still loved monitor with excellent picture clarity, great viewing angle (thanks to S-PVA matrix) and support for different input types. Gets 4 not 5 stars from me because this model is notorious for bad capacitors that tend to leak after 1-3 years of use. BTW it's an easy and cheap to get them replaced.
Summary: Our finally crapped out at 4 years and 7 months. Yes, I still have the receipt. Never an issue till now, so can't complain. For those that like to tinker, here is a possible fix from fixya: The capacitors BigTech referred to are C110 & C111, 820uf-25V Electrolytic, on the power supply board. With minor soldering skills, you can replace them with Radio Shack in-store capacitors, Stock # 272-1032, 1000uf-50V Radial Lead Electrolytics for $1.59 each. Works great!
Solid, high quality monitor. Just made first repair after 4+ years.

Summary: I have used this monitor for a long, long time. It was originally the primary monitor on my primary desktop when purchased. Since then it has been demoted to primary monitor on secondary desktop and then promoted back to the primary desktop as a secondary monitor after I built a new machine and upgraded to a large format display for primary monitor. Just recently, it stopped working on me. It would flicker after turning it on or waking from sleep and then go blank.
Summary: I've actually owned this monitor since early 2007, and I've been so pleased with this display that I recently decided to purchase a second. I'm a computer science major at a university, and a repair technician, and it's by far the most pleasing display I get to look at every day. The colors are vibrant, and the picture is crisp and clear. The monitors themselves have a clean, minimalist look, while remaining well engineered.
Summary: Pros: Excellent color and angle of view. Looks very sharp with either my PC or mac. Has plenty of customization if you need it, but also looks great plugged straight in.Cons: almost nothing. The native resolution is a bit odd and I found that my PC laptop couldn't project a 1680x1050 image. It looks OK, just picked something close and the image isn't too affected.
Summary: I purchased this monitor on ebay for $370 including shipping, and I couldn't be happier with it. I'm using it with my powerbook for photo editing, and I love how much extra space I have. The monitor is huge compared to what I'm used to, and the colors and brightness of the monitor are excellent. I love the swivel as well as the vertical tilt. I LOVE this monitor!
Summary: I purchased the Samsung 215TW 21" LCD monitor after a lot of research to determine what would be the best display for photo editing. This one was recommended in several reviews and was in my price range, so I ordered it. Little did I know that it isn't compatible with my Dell computer. The Samsung monitor has a DVI-D video connection, while Dell offers VGA connection.
Una de las mejores compras tecnológicas que realizé en mi vida.

Summary: PROS: 1. Múltiples entradas (DVI, VGA, S-Video, Composite, etc.). Capacidad de PIP. 5.
Summary: Got this monitor because I am a photographer and color correct/process all my files. It was important that this monitor could be calibrated down to 100-110cd/m2 to be able to show shadow detail. I can certainly do this as I have had it as low as 101.2cd/m2. It can be easily calibrated with my EyeOne Display, Match software and the buttons located on the front panel. I am happy with the images displayed.
Summary: I have bought this baby about 3 days ago and I was facing a strange problem. On my Sony VAIO (VGN-S5HP/B) with Windows XP SP2, I was getting only a black screen. After a countless various attempts with various drivers (nVidia geForce go 6400) and others, I have decided to switch off all unnecessary services, which are being loaded during the system startup and guess what? It has started to work.
