Great for its day and still a great second monitor.

Summary: I bought this monitor back in 2003 for $950 which was not too bad as not many people had LCD monitors back then. Most had CRT monitors and they were huge boxes that generated a lot of heat. The Syncmaster 191T came out and I knew I had to have one. So far after 9 years of heavy use and 4 computers, it still works great. This Monitor is not as bright as the current LED and LCD monitors but as a second monitor it is a perfect size and still is as sharp as the day I got it.
Summary: I bought this monitor for a second computer for backup. It's crisp and clear. I purchased Samsung because I have had a 21" for about 8 years now and it works just as crisp and clear as the day I bought it.
Summary: I have owned 4 Samsung monitors. My experience over a 10+ year period has been well beyond my expectations. During this period I did not experience a single problem with any of the monitors. In fact I did not even have a single burnt out pixel on any of them and I still have the first one I purchased 10 years back. The overall picture quality is slightly above average. Sharp and clear, good contrast and color rendition. Minimal slight leakage.
Summary: great monitor, good price, i have owned mine for the better part of two years now. i have recommended it to all my friends, and four others have the same one and they seem very happy with it. Clear text, and fantastic picture quality. everything is included and although it does the Pivot deal with the picture, never really used it. it has adjustable height and tilt. only problem with this monitor is i cannot find another one.
Summary: I luv my monitor! Great display! Sharp, bright... When I play a DVD with digital its awesome This model has a portrait mode feature which is incredible for doing work on "portrait" type MS Word documents
Good image & features, bad design, inflexible pixel policy

Summary: I bought my 191T+ to relieve eye strain. The quality of the picture and the effect on my eyes is a huge improvement over the 17" CRT I had been using before. It does not seem any brighter than my Apple Studio display at home (although it is supposed to be), but it certainly does the job on that point. My main complaint is that there is a dead subpixel on mine right in the middle of the screen.
Summary: This is an a good monitor. The image quality is very good. I have 2 in a multi-monitor configuration with a Sony SDM-S91/B in the middle. The 191tplus makes the image on the Sony monitor look dirty! The white on the Sony monitor actually looks brown when compared to the white on the 191tplus. I've had the Sony for about six months and I just got the Samsungs to increase my screen real estate.
Summary: I did a lot of research before I bought this monitor, as I do with every major electronic purchase I make. I compared this monitor with several others that are on the top ten lists and found that along with this monitor there were a couple others of what appears to be equal quality. I chose this monitor for price, at roughly 620, as well as quality.
Summary: Bytesector previously reviewed the Samsung SyncMaster 191T model; now we will analyze its predecessor the 191T PLUS, an upgraded TFT LCD monitor. The 19" device gives 18" of viewable area with the implementation of the Magic Bright technology. Magic Bright is not found in the previous 191T model. What is the plus of the Samsung SyncMaster 191T plus? Landscape to portrait pivoting features, Magic Bright Technology, and crisp clear text!...
