Great for its day and still a great second monitor.

Summary: I bought this monitor back in 2003 for $950 which was not too bad as not many people had LCD monitors back then. Most had CRT monitors and they were huge boxes that generated a lot of heat. The Syncmaster 191T came out and I knew I had to have one. So far after 9 years of heavy use and 4 computers, it still works great. This Monitor is not as bright as the current LED and LCD monitors but as a second monitor it is a perfect size and still is as sharp as the day I got it.
Summary: I bought this monitor for a second computer for backup. It's crisp and clear. I purchased Samsung because I have had a 21" for about 8 years now and it works just as crisp and clear as the day I bought it.
Summary: I have owned 4 Samsung monitors. My experience over a 10+ year period has been well beyond my expectations. During this period I did not experience a single problem with any of the monitors. In fact I did not even have a single burnt out pixel on any of them and I still have the first one I purchased 10 years back. The overall picture quality is slightly above average. Sharp and clear, good contrast and color rendition. Minimal slight leakage.
Summary: great monitor, good price, i have owned mine for the better part of two years now. i have recommended it to all my friends, and four others have the same one and they seem very happy with it. Clear text, and fantastic picture quality. everything is included and although it does the Pivot deal with the picture, never really used it. it has adjustable height and tilt. only problem with this monitor is i cannot find another one.
Summary: I luv my monitor! Great display! Sharp, bright... When I play a DVD with digital its awesome This model has a portrait mode feature which is incredible for doing work on "portrait" type MS Word documents
Summary: First, www.AMAZON.com is great. Got my monitor in 3 days. no problem good price. Easy to deal with compared to DELL(that's another story. THe SAMSUNG - Am running it in analog mode(while waiting for my new DELL). PROS Picture is crisp, and fairly uniform on web browsing, PC text apps. (after having a lot of blurring at first, fiddled w/the profile settings and took care of it) Ran a DVD (WOODY ALLEN in BANANAS).
Summary: I wish I could give this monitor a good review. However, after 2 defective ones in a row, I simply cannot recommend it. My first monitor kept losing the picture. After 15 or so minutes, the screen would go blank. I would have to power the monitor down and back up to get the picture back. I thought this might be a fluke, but this kept happening after 15 to 30 minutes. I plugged my old monitor back in to make sure it wasn't my video card -- it worked perfectly.
Summary: I am returning with my second review for this monitor, and my rating hasn't changed. But from what I have to say, maybe some of you out there may lower my rating. First, in my first review, I said that the monitor had two dead pixels. I've since found about 3 more. They don't all show up at once though. It depends on the background color of whatever you-re looking at e.g. games, web-surfing. One is always blue when it should be black.
Summary: Samsung 191T 19" LCD Monitor Review Friday, November 22, 2002 I love my new 191T. Some history. I had previously used a 21" Mitsubishi 91TXM [aperture grill model] since 1996 till this year when it started flaking out and fluctuating in brightness. I decided to get my feet wet in the LCD world in March 2002 with the best bang for the buck 15" monitor at the time. That was the KDS Rad-5.
