Summary: The Proview LCD monitor is a good LCD PC Monitor, if that's all your looking for. Has all the normal OSD, size and picture menus that all monitors should have. Features control buttons on the front. Very light and easy to move. Sometimes it seems like it's a cheapy, but it performs well. No problems, no complaints.
Summary: I've had this monitor for 3 years now. I got it on sale at a major retailer years ago during some crazy sale. Pros: - thin bezel. I run multiple monitors and thin bezels results in less space between displays. - no dead pixels - decent color representation, however it's a little darker than my other monitors Cons: - this monitor makes a high pitched buzzing sound when it is plugged in but turned off.
Summary: I bought a 15" Proview LCD 5 years ago soon after they went under $300, and have had no problems with it. This 17" is of course an improvement - not just in that is larger - but also is a clearer display. Even though it is a refurbished model. I am quite pleased with it and hope it lasts as well as the older one.
Summary: I purchased this monitor and it worked great for a while. Then it stopped working. Would only show a white screen with some streaks. Did some research and it seems that many people have had this problem. Some of the capacitors in the monitor are defective and have to be replaced. I opened mine and all of the 470 capacitors had blown, just like everyone else's. Pick a company that uses quality components in their products. (capacitors are cheap.
Summary: This monitor didn't even make it two years in our house. Weeks ago, the screen started flickering randomly. We called Proview customer service, where we were told it was the video card on our computer, not the monitor. That wasn't the case. It was the monitor! It died soon after hanging up the phone with tech support. I'd be very careful buying this monitor. Is nothing made to last anymore? The monitor wasn't cheap to begin with..
Summary: The display is bright and clear, and all adjustments are easily made. The automatic booting of the monitor (I'm using Windows XP Pro)initiates all adjustments well, sizing the screen to the extents of the monitor. I'm very impressed that this economy-priced monitor offers so much!
Summary: I had my Proview monitor for ONE YEAR and it worked great...then it started acting up: The screen remained blank (black) and it took numerous restarts OF THE COMPUTER (since I couldn't see what's going on I had to hard reboot). Well, that went on for a while; now it won't work at all. Honestly, I can't trust any Proview monitor now. Actually I'm back on my OLD monitor, which is glass and quite heavy-but the picture quality is much better than the Proview LCD.
Summary: I got this monitor from "Staples" for about two hundred dollars to replace an ancient and bulky 15" CRT. After about A year, it is running as it did when I first hooked it up. No Visual distortions, no noises, no adjustment problems. What's good: The price The monitor is clean-looking and space efficient. A big improvement over the old CRT What's bad: Nothing to report here.
