Excellent monitor. The clarity is amazing

Jay Crow, Amazon
16 November 2014
  • Summary: Excellent monitor. The clarity is amazing. To achieve full 2560 x 1440 resolution, be sure your video card supports this resolution and you use the DVI dual link or DisplayPort cable(s) that come with the monitor. My understanding is HDMI will not support 2560 x 1440. I've had the monitor about 2 weeks and had no high pitched sound issues I've read in other reviews. I would definitely buy this monitor again.

Very good monitor. Very happy with it

Marcos E. Taquechel "Toomuchonline", Amazon
15 November 2014
  • Summary: Very good monitor. Very happy with it. Great bang for you buck, Don't need to spend big $ on a Apple. Noise issues noted by other buyers not found. Very stylish design. Be aware that you must have a video card with display port connection to unleash the 2560 x 1440 WQHD high resolution. HDMI will give you a lower resolution.

Best Monitor I've ever seen

Logeye, Amazon
30 October 2014
  • Summary: I have had this product for about 6 months now. It's the BEST monitor I've seen. With a native resolution of 2560x1440 you get sharp clear graphics. It's kind of expensive but it's worth it.

Worth every penny!

Michai, Amazon
9 October 2014
  • Summary: Just got it in today, its incredibly beautiful. The resolution is crisp and the colors are vibrant, exactly what I'd expect from a $800+ IPS monitor. Except this was much cheaper! As for the sound... yes there is a high pitch that comes from the power supply but its really not as bad as people make it out to be. Within 2 min I no longer heard it, also if you watch videos listen to music or play games you'll never hear it.

2 Faulty Monitors and the WORST customer service I have ever experienced.

Lauren, Amazon
8 October 2014
  • Summary: I ordered this monitor excited about an alternative to the Apple Thunderbolt display. Like a previous reviewer, my monitor was DOA with a blue light indicating that it was on but the screen was not working. My first call to customer service left with them blaming it on me because I owned a Mac (Oh the horror). It took a second call to convince them that it was actually broken. They reluctantly sent me a replacement monitor.

DOA!

Jeremy Colvin, Amazon
30 September 2014
  • Summary: I was really excited about getting this up and running but out of the box it wasn't working, just a blue light next to the power button and nothing else... Aesthetically it's really beautiful. I'm going to try another one and update my review here if that one works.

Great overall monitor!

Charles Brader, Amazon
25 August 2014
  • Summary: This is an excellent monitor, hands down. Keep in mind that I purchased this monitor for a co-worker who had requested an Apple Cinema display, but desired a less costly piece of equipment. This Planar monitor model was the answer. To date, this is the second one of this model we have purchased. It is a great balance of cost savings and performance. Thank you Planar!

Wow - an excellent monitor

Laren Droll, Amazon
3 August 2014
  • Summary: I purchased this Planar Monitor for use in CAD and it has met all of my expectations and made my employee very happy. It is bright and sharp. Much sharper than standard HD. Just make sure you have a good graphics card with a display port connection that can drive monitors with this resolution.
