Summary: Monitor was great bang for the buck. Shorted out a few times on me, but that was due to some settings on my computer. Works like a dream now and still holding strong after two years. Only complaint being the audio. The built in speaker is just plain awful. I had to mute the internal speaker and use bookshelf speakers running through another unit.
Summary: I have had this monitor for about three years. My experience with it has been good. The monitor will give a humming noise at very low volume. If you adjust the monitor settings, you can get rid of the humming noise.
Summary: Monitor looks and works wonderfully right out of the box. My only complaint would be that it is almost TOO big! I have to back away from the computer desk to take it all in! Really works well for tweaking my photos though.
Summary: Default setting VERY bright, caused me headaches at the first use but quickly figured it's the brightness fault (from other reviewers) 27" is great for gaming and for work that require consulting more then one data source. surfing however is a little inconvenient. 1920 X 1080 (aka full HD)is too low for such a big screen. too bad the industry decided not to make better res screen for this size, it's hard to find good cheap screens with better res and they are old too.
Summary: Unlike other reviews where it seems like the five-star reviews might be planted or skewed, I can tell you without a doubt that these five-star reviews are real! There is nothing about this monitor that deserves anything less than five stars. I have owned this monitor since December 2011 and it is nothing short of awesome.
Summary: I knew I'd made a great choice when I saw that NASA uses Planar monitors. The sound quality is very poor, and I wish the monitor had a USB port, but other than that, it's great, pic quality is excellent, and the price was good.
