Summary: First off, let me state that you aren't getting an IPS monitor for a little over $200 US! This is a nice 27" 1080P monitor, that does support other resolutions, but will have issues all LCD,s have with non-native resolutions (focus/crispness/etc.). I have had it now for about a month and am quite pleased.
Summary: Pros + It is big!!!! + Has options for connections (HDMI, VGA) + No ghosting + Good response time + Got it for under $250 + Easy to use/navigate menus + Colors look decent (not sure how accurate they are lol) Cons - Is only 1900x1080 - Not the best tilt angles with the stand (can always upgrade that). Other thoughts: If you like the extra screen real estate, and are looking for a good deal, buy this monitor!
Summary: I received the item in good time, well packaged and in good shape. The price was splendid for the quality and I am happy to have found this item on Amazon.com. Thanks to everyone involved in bringing this quality filled, beautiful monitor to me.
Summary: The monitor arrived promptly. I am more than happy with ALL aspects of it. It has a great display, sharp and vivid video. It is all the other reviews give it and more! I couldn't be happier and recommend it highly!
Summary: I just bought a Samsung SyncMaster P2770 at Costco for $280. It was to replace a burnt out Viewsonic monitor. The Samsung's picture was not acceptable, trying various adjustments including the auto-tuning software that came with it. The definition in the Samsung was so poor that rendered the monitor not usable. I got the Planar as a replacement for it from Amazon for less than $300. The difference was immediate. The image is much richer and the definition superior.
Got a pair, they are awesome!!! Update 10-nov-2011

Summary: Update 10-Nov-2011: So two more things: 1) I have decided to go for it and am getting two more. Dell just sent me a "special deal" on gift cards, and these monitors are on sale again @dell so I figure why not. I have also found a web page [...] that shows how to build your own "multi-monitor stand" if you know someone who can weld. But I got one of those. He is my step-dad Joe and he is the best welder I know. He fixed all the rust in my car 22 years ago. Hey Joe...
Summary: Did about 4 hours of research on a 24-27 inch monitor. I think I made a wise choice. It doesn't look as good as the 24" Asus VS series, but makes up for it at 27 inches of real estate. Text looks very sharp and colors look fine to me. Starcraft 2, Counter-Strike and WoW all look great on it. Amazon.com never looked so large on this bad boy. I'd buy again if I had to do it over. Speakers do suck though.
Summary: I have a mac pro and these monitors are excellent. I had apple monitors before but didnt like the glare of the screen. Plus $1000 I mean really. What I was taught its not the equipment its the person that creates. But i do know the right equipment is important and these monitors are excellent. I didn't have to adjust them they worked and the colors are perfect. Its like it was made for Apple. They a big and they will take up a lot of real estate on your desk.
Summary: Planar advertises that this monitor comes with "Hidden TrueMedia(tm) speakers for phenomenal sound". Don't believe it for a second. It should say CHEAP and TINNY sounding! The screen itself is nice & clear but I bought it so I didn't have to buy an extra set of speakers and I would get the 'phenomenal sound'. I actualy bought it from Dell and they won't take it back so I HIGHLY suggest you buy it from Amazon (like I should have).
