Great gamut, but luminance variations

Andromeda, B&H Photo
17 December 2014
  • Excerpt: I was surprised by how many of my images benefit from the increased color gamut of this monitor, when I compare them on the NEC vs. my Apple Cinema 30s. Unfortunately, mine has a couple of vertical stripes that are much darker than the rest of the monitor post calibration.

Tremendous Screens

PackSaddle Jack, B&H Photo
2 July 2014
  • Excerpt: These units represent a replacement and upgrade for earlier screens which suffered from Rain in the Window Syndrome. It's still a bit early to definitively rate the pair of NEC302's I purchased. There are fewer than 50 hours of usage on either.
  • Pros: Accurate Color Rendition, Easy Editing, Good Gamut, Large Image, Powerful
  • Cons: Heavy

Superior quality

Grosjean, B&H Photo
19 March 2014
  • Excerpt: I purchased this monitor with the calibration package (PA302W-BK-SV). I have had nothing less than outstanding performance from it. I do extensive image editing in Photoshop, and my workflow has never been so streamlined and my results so robust as they have been since my acquisition of this montor.
  • Pros: Calibration Hardsoftware, Calibration Package, Calibration Software, Dead-accurate Color

Error in Listing

M. McQueen "phoDOGrapher", Amazon
17 February 2014
  • Summary: Warning! The title of this item includes "with SpectraViewII". This is an error. I did not receive any calibration hardware or software with my monitor. This is an EXCELLENT monitor, which I would rate 5 stars, but it does not include SpectraViewII like the listing states.

An excellent display.

12 February 2014
  • Excerpt: This is my first professional level display. Previously I used high end prosumer displays for years starting with a NEC CRT and up to a Samsung TFT right before this. I've always color calibrated my displays and can tell the difference moving up to this class of display.I love the display and hope...

Terrible corner light bleed/glow

Bruce, B&H Photo
16 January 2014
  • Excerpt: I was very excited to receive my new NEC PA302W monitor, but my excitement quickly faded as I immediately saw excessive light bleed/glow in all four corners. The bottom two were by far the worst, and the top two had a reddish hue to them.
  • Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Fast
  • Cons: Excessive Light Bleed

All the monitor you will ever need

M. L. Norton, Amazon
2 May 2015
  • Summary: Size matters, as they say, and having a 30 inch monitor on your desk is a revelation. You can have multiple windows open and stop the over-lapping of a smaller monitor. This is especially useful when you have documents to compare or, for example, a big and complex desktop like Lightroom or...

Its even better than the predecessor.

Ambrosian Spactor, Amazon
29 March 2014
  • Summary: I got this monitor to increase my desktop workspace in addition to my NEC PA301W, partly because the two are visually indistinguishable apart from the sticker, and the my experience with the PA301 was nothing sort of stellar. Could not praise enough.
