Conclusion: NEC EA231WMi is one of the more interesting monitors today due to the IPS panel technology that Dell is also using in their 2209WA and U2410 monitors. Therefore my expectations were high but EA231WMi did not let me down.
Pros: Picture quality and IPS panel, Ergonomics, Shadow detail, High resolution, Viewing angles
Cons: Eco Mode can alter gamma, Black level, Response time
Conclusion: We found it surprisingly easy to become accustomed to the reduced height of the 16:9 23in panel over a 16:10 24in screen - the NEC is still a sizeable screen. Excerpt: Almost £300 is a lot of money for a 23in monitor, especially when you can buy a good-quality example for well under £200. However, NEC's EA231WMi is packed with features, and is aimed at business users rather than consumers.
Conclusion: Overall the NEC fairs very well I think and comes out top in many of the comparisons with its popular rivals, the Dell U2410 and HP LP2475W. It offers superior performance in some areas, but doesn't have it all and has a few disappointing drawbacks though in my opinion.
Pros: Very keenly priced compared with competing 24" models, Excellent colour accuracy, black depth and contrast, Low input lag and decent enough responsiveness
Cons: Some quality control issues with panel uniformity and backlight leakage, Limited interface options, and no HDMI, Responsiveness not quite in keeping with other modern screens
Summary: En skärm med utmärkta bildegenskaper. Beröm får färger, kontrast och betraktningsvinkel. Några eftersläpningar noteras inte vid film och anslutningsmöjligheterna får klart godkänt. Att även ergonomin är riktigt bra gör att skärmen sammantaget får höga betyg.
