The NEC MultiSync E201W is an LCD monitor with LED backlight technology that reduces greenhouse gas emissions, reduces power consumption and heat radiation. Constructed with recycled plastics, less hazardous materials and is mercury-free. It also features an ambient light sensor, which automatically adjusts the brightness to the optimal setting depending on ambient lighting, screen content or both; DisplayPort connectivity for expanded connectivity, as well as VGA and DVI-D. The MultiSync E201W features a 20 inch display screen with 16:9 aspect ratio, 1600 x 900 native resolution and integrated down-firing speakers with headphone jack. It also has a fully adjustable ergonomic stand, with 110mm height-adjust, pivot, tilt and swivel capabilities.

It also features a carbon footprint and cost meter which allows users to track the savings of green gas emissions. It is compliant with the newest standards, such as ENERGY STAR 5.0 and TCO 5.0 and is EPEAT Silver certified. The MultiSync E201W is available in November 2010 at an estimated street price of $199.
