Summary: NEC has always been my monitor of choice, but I currently run two HP 22" HD monitors at work, and this panel blows them away.
Pros: Great monitor. Don't let the photos fool you - it's gigantic, titanic. The refresh rate is amazing. All games look sharp and realistic, Blu-ray movies and HD rips all amazing. The picture is stunning.
Cons: The swivel's sensitivity is really low, but you will eventually center it properly.
Summary: This is an amazing monitor. The picture is the best that I have ever seen (although I don't see this level of quality at most stores), and the weighted stand adjusts smoothly in all planes. At 26 inches, some may think that it's too large, but going back to a 20" monitor is near painful.
Summary: I've had this monitor for over a year and it has been the best tech purchase I've ever made. If only I could find another one. It is SUPER bright and the resolution is awesome for coding and computing in general. I also use portrait mode occasionally when coding.
Summary: This is a commercial grade heavy duty monitor. Makes the current line of LCDs from other companies like Samsung look and feel like cheap toys in comparison. It is a dying breed of 16:10 aspect monitors which give you an extra inch on the bottom of the screen for the task bar without eating into your...
Summary: My old setup was 2 Dell 17" Flat Panel monitors (1702FP). One died so I replaced it with this NEC EA261WM-BK 26" inch monitor. Wow, what an improvement!! This new monitor is very bright, and huge!!. I considered the Dell UltraSharp monitors but they were too expensive.
Summary: For those like me who stare at a computer monitor all day, I have found that avoiding the "cheap" monitors is a wise decision. Yes, you can get a 24" 1080p monitor for less than $200 nowadays, but the quality just isn't there.
Summary: If you can afford it, buy it and you wont be disappointed.
Pros: Upgraded my primary monitor from the NEC multisync 19" to this massive beast. The 19" is my primary of a 6 monitor display configuration that includes 2 mid range dell lcd's and 3 acers. When you buy a nice monitor like NEC for a primary and then put 5 cheaper ones around it and look at it for a ...
Cons: -Price obviously is a con for anyone on a tight budget. -Monitor on stand has lowest position of roughly 3.5" off desk (which is great for almost everyone who didn't build their own desk to be a specific height based on monitors) -Tilt works great for tilting monitor up if your desk is too low, b...
Pros: As expected, great quality, sharp, not distractive front panel, 92% gamut, you will notice in Photo mode. So, if you are in imaging or photo business, or just like to experiment with graphics and can not afford model with calibration option, the EA261WM-BK is a good, reasonable PRO choice.
