Summary: The viewing angle is absolutely tiny... move your head just an inch or two, and the colors change drastically. Since the monitor is so large, even with your view at the center, the edges have a distorted/reflective look, so you never get a uniform picture. Also massive light bleed on the edges.
Summary: Caveat: 2 of these TN panels are replacing 2 21" Nec Multisync 2190Uxp monitors. Old monitors were 4:3 (1600x1200), and they had great color, contrast, and viewing angles (S-PVA panels).
Pros: Large widescreen, no dead pixels, standard TN panel I suppose. Plenty of inputs, Display port, HDMI, DVI-D, VGA. Can sync the settings between multimonitors. Fast enough for games? Not sure because these are supposed to be used 8-12 hours a day in an office setting.
Cons: The TN panel viewing angles are marketing hype (this applies to all manufacturers of TN panels). These panels have a pivot built into the stand, but are unuseable in the portrait (10:16 aspect). The viewing angle is displaced off perpendicular to the display, so that you need to turn the display ...
Summary: Gaming with NVidia surround on 3 NEC 24" monitor is immersive and intense
Pros: I wrote a review earlier on a 2nd NEC and this is my 3rd 24" NEC monitor and again no dead pixel. Great cheap gaming panel. I will reiterate that this is NOT a monitor to do color sensitive work such as professional photography or video editing. This monitor is good for everything else. You can't...
Summary: It's shocking (even at this low of a price point) that something this bad would make it to market. The viewing angle and lack of color uniformity make it impractical to actually use. I sincerely thought it was a defective unit at first...
Summary: For the same money, you can get a different branch with much better specs.
Pros: It's big. 1920 x 1200 is nice.
Cons: Don't be fooled by a low price tag, this thing is CHEAP in the worst sense of the word. It's not IPS. Viewing angles STINK and this thing color shifts. NEC usually has top-of-the-line stuff, but this one misses the boat.
Summary: This monitor has a great set of features for the average computer user - USB ports, variety of hookup options, easy adjustments for display and ergonomics, clear text and pictures. It has a nice wide screen and you can adjust the brightness to your liking.
Summary: HitechHitouch's review is spot on. Actual viewing angle is too narrow for a screen this wide. Given what's available, this monitor is not worth worth considering. NEC makes some nice displays; this isn't one of them.
Summary: Q6600 @ 3.0, 8 Gig OCZ SLi RAM, 1,000 watt OCZ Gold Series PSU, 2-GTX 580 (in and out of SLi), Win 7, Win 8 Cust Preview, Ubuntu 12.04 triple boot, 2,260,000 pts. folding@home.
Pros: Good price for a GOOD 24" 1920 x 1200 TN panel. This is NOT a Professional IPS true color monitor. I use this for gaming 90% of the time and we watch DVD and Blu Rays 5% and I do normal stuff the other 5%. DVD/BR video is excellent with a monitor menu tweak. I need 1920 x 1200 for gaming because ...
Cons: The color on this monitor will NOT match an older flourescent back lit monitor very well. I wish all monitors were $1.00...with free shipping.
