Summary: This is an excellent monitor. Bigger than I have used up until now... I was comfortable with the 17-inch Apple monitor (a 50 pound behemoth that finally bit the dust!) and am getting used to this 19-inch. So far, no problems. I used a VGA adapter to plug into my Mac G3. I am well pleased. It was an excellent buy on ebay.
Summary: I bought this to replace my old CRT monitor so I could have more space on my desk. I had tried two newer widescreen monitors, but was not pleased with them. I specifically searched for a non-widescreen monitor and was pleased to find this one. The controls for adjusting the picture are a little "clunky", but once I got the picture adjusted to my satisfaction, it's been fine. It was just what I wanted for about $60.
Summary: Brought this at $149, which is a great price. Item recieved in two days. Open and installed it. Everything is so sharp. No dead pixel, corner on the entire monitor is beautiful. This is replacement to the Acer 1916. The Acer was a horrible monitor that i had to return. Color is bad, resolution is bad. The only negative to this NEC is that this is not a widescreen, but at 149, i am a very happy customer.
Summary: Just got 2 of these. One connected to DVI and the other VGA on a ATI 1300Pro card. Both have minor darkening in the corners; one has some darkening in bands on the top and bottom; but both of these defects are very hard to see unless the display is uniformly white and you're looking at it from the side. They replaced a single NEC 1860, which was a great display, but very expensive. I tried a Acer 1914 first but that was real bad so I returned it. I'll keep these.
