5 Star for me

Bubsiec, Amazon
22 March 2013
  • Summary: Excellent product, I primarily use it just as a monitor and nothing else and it works wonders, excellent colors, canon t4i output is HD and the monitor displays it beautifully. I highly recommend the product for anyone needing a larger screen than the live view on DLSR's.

Great for the money: Good for video production

Peter MacGill, Amazon
27 January 2013
  • Summary: This monitor is great for the money for a budget minded videographer. Even though it doesn't have all the bells, buttons and controls that the more expensive monitors do, it gives you the resolution to frame, compose, set exposure and focus. That is most of why one needs a monitor in the first place. You do have to play with the menu to get the display to match your camera LCD but that is not hard. For HDMI output on my Canon XA-10 it is plug and play.

Review for Pulling focus on a HDSLR only

Jeep4x4Enthusiast "jeep4x4enthusiast", Amazon
8 August 2011
  • Summary: I use this monitor only for pulling focus on an HDSLR (canon 7D,and a 5D) when I can't have my eye glued to my Zacuto Viewfinder. Also, for sharing my view with an assistant pulling focus with a whip, a sound person just to see, or a client. It has worked very well for those tasks. It looks sharp live, even better when doing playback, and has held up so far in post production.

Does the job

Andrew Paul, Amazon
28 April 2014
  • Summary: For the price, this a great little monitor. Good clear picture. The only reason I gave 4 stars is that to change the battery you need to unscrew the back with a screwdriver and plug a battery in with a lead. I bought an extra battery as filming outside most of the day.

First impressions good

R. Nipper, Amazon
14 February 2014
  • Summary: Having bought a Hague Handi Jib to help extend the reach of my camcorder to get both high and low level shots one of the issues I have found is then seeing what Im shooting! So I've been looking for an off camera monitor for some time and this was recommended to me by Jessops. Initially my impression was that it was quite plasticy for a relatively expensive piece of kit, but the picture quality seems excellent using the hdmi output from my camera, and the additional...
