Summary: Product was delivered and it was what LG technicians called a DOA unit. Dead on arrival. It cost me 5 hours in time messing around and trying to get the monitor to work. LG tech support sucked. They had me jumping through hoops.
Summary: I purchased an LG W2753V monitor in, 2009 and it worked for over a year. Early the next year it started to have overheating issues. When my computer went into sleep mode, the monitor would not come up until it cooled off. In May, I spoke with LG customer service.
Summary: 2 years after buying this monitor the inverter card goes out... and the idiots at LG have supplied MCM (their distributor) with the wrong card or part number. They refuse to fix their own problem and considering the accents you will hear calling them, you'll understand why. DO NOT BUY LG.
Summary: The LG warranty is @@@@! I was so disappointed when I received this @@@ that I couldn't even play any games for a couple of days.
Pros: This is a nice monitor when it's new and has no problems. But beware of the warranty policy from LG.
Cons: LG gave me one of these to replace my other 26". This replacement is used, scratched up, scuffed up, has a stuck bluish pixel, and has a slightly bluish tinge to it that I can't correct. They did'nt even wrap the monitor, they just put it in some styrofoam through it in a box and sent it by snail...
Summary: The manufacturer has a utility to allow you to adjust the monitors using an application, but apparently, their developers are too incompetent to make them work on a 64-bit operating system.
Pros: Very good picture, very bright and sharp. Very fast acting, no blur.
Cons: ABSOLUTELY ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE CONTROLS. I didn't think it was even possible to make it so frustrating to use the menu. There aren't even buttons, it has extremely stupid light sensors to detect that you are "pressing" the buttons. I regret buying these monitors :(
Summary: I'm going to send this piece of junk monitor back and get a Viewsonic!
Pros: It is Big, It is pretty Cheap.
Cons: The screen flickers with every single little movement on my desk. if I type hard the screen flickers, if I shake my foot under my desk the screen flickers. The base is so flimsy, it is so light, the whole monitor rocks side to side so easy. shame on LG The colors while playing Videos are totally ...
Summary: Acer has a similar monitor in the 27'' range and I'm sure they're not the only brand. Ladies and gentlemen, spend a few extra dollars and buy yourself a better structured monitor. You won't regret that decision.
Pros: Let me first say that I do not normally write reviews on newegg, only when I strongly feel something needs to be said. In regards to pro's, the picture is crisp, the on screen controls are average, and the overall design is appealing.
Cons: Despite LG focusing on the screen, the stand (excuse me), the plastic part which supports the monitor, is hardly worthy of being called decent quality. It sits at a crooked angle with no hope of being fixed. If you research past reviews, I'm not the first to experience this...nor will I be the la...
Summary: I usually avoid anything LG, but after reading the reviews, decided to pull the trigger. Big mistake - this was the first item I have purchased online in the past 5 years that I have to return! I have always known LG makes junk, but now I am convinced for ever.
Cons: Just as another poster said - the monitor would power on, but screen would go to black and that's it. Tried all types of connections on 3 PCs and nothing.
Summary: I wanted to hook it up duel with my 27 flat panel tv, the tV works fine but I dont get the high resolution with it, so I purchased this. I RMA'd it, no refund, no swap for different model, not NewEggs fault, it's their policy which they clearly state.
Pros: nice big screen, good amount of connections
Cons: Monitor would power on, but screen would go to black, tried all connections, failed,
