Summary: I have used this for about four years now and have fond it to be very good. A 27" 1080 p screen for desk use is big, sometime a little too big, due to the lower PPI. The main reason this is a good fit is for watching movies from 5-8 feet, for which it is perfect.
Summary: Product was delivered and it was what LG technicians called a DOA unit. Dead on arrival. It cost me 5 hours in time messing around and trying to get the monitor to work. LG tech support sucked. They had me jumping through hoops. Then passed me to another tech, who said he needed to look into this more and he'd get back to me in a few days. What the &$%^??? Bottom line, I had to box up the monitor and ship it to LG.
Summary: Bought 2 of these displays 3 years ago (almost to the date)... They still work great. Not one dead pixel, and I haven't had a single problem with them. I actually want to buy two more of them for my office. Looks like I'll have to get an upgraded model.
Summary: I purchased an LG W2753V monitor in, 2009 and it worked for over a year. Early the next year it started to have overheating issues. When my computer went into sleep mode, the monitor would not come up until it cooled off. In May, I spoke with LG customer service. I had had enough, and while I spoke with a rep named Angel, it took 4 or 5 minutes for the monitor to respond after he instructed me to turn it off using the monitor switch (which refused to work most of the...
Summary: This is an amazing display. As others suggested I bought the HDMI cable. For macbook pro users (like me) you also need the "mini DVI to HDMI" converter. Both can be obtained on amazon for a fraction of the price at the apple store. While I love my Apple display at work, for my home office this one was a best buy. It is larger than my apple display and about 1/3 of the price. Service from this vendor was great.
Summary: 2 years after buying this monitor the inverter card goes out... and the idiots at LG have supplied MCM (their distributor) with the wrong card or part number. They refuse to fix their own problem and considering the accents you will hear calling them, you'll understand why. DO NOT BUY LG. get samsung. they will last and take care of you. LG, the company, has went way down hill in quality and service.
