Three years on and still works great

Matthew S., Newegg
29 June 2013
  • Summary: Well worth the money.
  • Pros: Everything about it other than the touch-sensitive "buttons". It pops. It drops. It flops on top.
  • Cons: The touch-sensitive buttons are annoying; luckily I don't really have to use them. The monitor figures things out itself...which is a Pro.

NICE MONITOR !!!!!

Leon K., Newegg
13 February 2011
  • Summary: I'm not a high tech person but I do know what to look for in a monitor for specs & buy according to what I'll be using it for (In this case gaming). Anything else I use it for is just a plus, especially viewing pictures.
  • Pros: Colors are sharp, response time is nice (I'm a gamer), size was awesome when I turned it on 1st time, I found the controls to work fine & easy to navigate through-overall a very nice monitor
  • Cons: I do agree the stand could be a little more stable but I'm not wrestling with this device I'm viewing it. Other than that no problems at all.

  • Summary: i am a designer though so those kinds of 'cons' are bothersome to me. thats why I gave 5 stars. everything should be dust resistant :)
  • Pros: great picture, 1080p, HDMI, dvi im sure but I dont know because I dont use it. vivid beautiful colors.
  • Cons: collects dust....also, the buttons on it is are those new touch sensitive buttons that are commonly seen on LG's tvs - hard to see in dimly lit rooms - just annoying to try to find really....

Gaming, developer, designer

Ross L., Newegg
24 September 2010
  • Pros: I'm a designer and developer and I'm in front of this monitor for 8+ hours a day and its an amazing tool to have in my arsenal. The picture is crisp, bold, and is large enough to allow me to have two windows open at the same time; one for code and the other for testing in a browser. I can never h...
  • Cons: Default settings are a bit bright, but can easily adjust through the on-screen menu selections or LG's forteManager (Note: Win7 users have to run it in compatibility mode). It does have auto-brightness too. I do wish it went higher than 1080, but I didn't hold me back from getting it. No wall mou...

NICE!

Steve S., Newegg
17 September 2010
  • Summary: I must be one of the lucky ones .... Out of all the LCD monitors I have bought over the years, for home and work, I have never had a dead/stuck pixels. You only need the HDMI cable if you are going to use the headphone jack on the monitor.
  • Pros: Realy nice display! Best looking monitor I've owned! The highest contrast ratio and lowest responce times for a great price.
  • Cons: The touchless buttons took a bit to get used to. The piano(glossy) black bezel is tough to keep clean.

BUY IT NOW!

Kai R., Newegg
16 September 2010
  • Summary: I bought this LG to replace an Acer 19" (1680x1050 though, really nice) of about two years. I didn't need to upgrade, but for the great price and rave reviews, I just had to do it. Even though I loved my Acer, this monitors blows it away, in every way possible!
  • Pros: *Insanely huge. *Beautiful screen, NO DEAD PIXELS! (Matte finish is gorgeous.) *Looks incredible at 1920x1080. *Really, really bright and crisp colours. (Almost have to turn down, but still getting used to it since I just got it a day ago.) *Strong base (Like others will tell you, make sure you r...
  • Cons: I can see what others mean by it being a dust and smudge/fingerprint magnet. I keep all of my things clean constantly, so this isn't a huge deal to me, since the beautiful, black, glossy finish looks amazing clean.
