very happy

David Peters, Amazon

  • Summary: slight crack, but no problem. Matches my other screen. If you ever had a small and big screen, you'll know how important it is to avoid that.

Great LCD, great price

Tom S., Amazon
21 June 2009
  • Summary: I bought this LCD last fall at another website for a bit more money. I've had good experience with LG in the past, and went for it. Out of the box: Color is a bit bright, but when adjusted slightly lower, gives a beautiful picture.

Best Monitor for the Price

J. Scott Mandeville, Amazon
15 May 2009
  • Summary: I have now owned this product and used it 3 - 5 days a week at work for more than 8 months (i.e., more than 1,300 hours of use), and not a single problem. I previously had a 19" widescreen at home and work, but after moving up to a 30" monitor at home I could no longer stand the lack of real estate...

It could happen to anyone.

J. Moser, Amazon
23 April 2009
  • Summary: This was a special warehouse purchase that was reported to have a slightly damaged box and a blemish on the case of the unit for a reduced price. I could care less about the box or a blemish on the case.

Not a 2ms monitor-correct specs

Anonymous, Newegg
8 March 2009
  • Summary: Asus and Acer also have some decent models here w/faster response time and HDMI ports. I dont get why top 2 c:Samsung and LG dont put these features in their monitors. You must use an HDMI adapter to connect HDMI cable for hi-def.
  • Pros: No built-in spkrs, nice image, size, design, considered second too Samsung by every slaesperson i speak to, saw it in person and a very nice monitor.
  • Cons: If youre a haevy gamer and yourspending xtra bucks on response time advertised as 2ms, go check out other sites-accurate time is 5ms. Many monitors are more expensive w/2ms time so Newegg needs t correct this. I wuldnt let that deter purchase but I use for graphics, video and games so i noticed t...

  • Summary: Not a con, but i wish they would ship em w/ the HD (dvi) cable instead of just the VGA cable.
  • Pros: Connecting the base to the monitor was easy, no flaws in the monitor (stuck pixals ext..) So far no problem at all. Can easily adjust up and down. Plus the swivel type base is a plus for me
  • Cons: None yet, other then it not being free.

great monitor

Anonymous, Newegg
14 February 2009
  • Summary: I also heard alot of complaints about the stand being a flimsy if you dont bump your desk the monitor won't move even if the monitor does move it takes 2 seconds at the most to fix so its not a big deal.
  • Pros: I am vary happy with this monitor no dead pixels at all works great with Blu-ray movies and video games. the color has been great its alot better than the 22" LG i had before and there is no noticible backlight showing anywhere, there is very little setup needed which i liked but i still took my ...

Out of the box: unusable. After professional adjusting: Still pretty bad

Darren G., Newegg
7 February 2009
  • Summary: Rating this a 1 egg because for me this monitor might as well be dead or broken, because the rainbow effect/ color bleed drives my eyes crazy. Others have said a lot about the Color banding. So here is the deal: Out of the box it's bad, really bad.
  • Pros: Swivels and tilt Works great minimal backlight bleed. ability to turn power led on and off. forte app works well for making the most of the monitor. low input lag no ghosting
  • Cons: defaults on this monitor are wrong, just wrong. Out of the box this monitor is blue. I spent 15 hours calibrating this monitor, and then finally used a spyder to do color correction and it is much better, but still just looks horrible. Not unusable horrible, but causes eye strain horrible. 1. the...
