Summary: got a chance to try out the LG W2442PE-BF LCD 24 inch Wide Monitor on a day long tutorial and found it easy on the eye and the only drawback to the LG W2442PE-BF LCD 24 inch Wide Monitor is it makes my iPhone display seem small!
Summary: I recently bought this one to replace my old monitor and I am so far impressed with the picture quality. There were a couple of issues with a black border when I first plugged it in but that was easily solved by changing the scaling by the video card settings. The speakers are rubbish so I would recommend you use a decent set of pc speakers. For the price this monitor is a bargain. I'm very happy with it.
Summary: Works well with no problem after 2 years use, 5 days a week. Pivot software works fine for portrait mode. I don't use the speakers so can't comment on those. Picture quality very good to my eye. Great value at time of purchase.
Summary: Good quality monitor and display. Plugged it into my laptop via hdmi with no problems. I haven't yet managed to get the fortePivot software (supplied with the monitor to flip the display to portrait) to work. It installs ok but doesn't seem to do anything when I select a particular screen orientation.
Summary: This was bought to pair with a Mac Mini (late 2011). I'm very happy with the nice sharp picture quality (over HDMI) and nice colour balance for general family use (photos, simple games and occasional film watching). It's a nice size, not very deep, and is weighty enough that the kids can't cause it to wobble too easily, but is overall not very heavy. Bezel is nice and narrow as well, so no unnecessary width.
Summary: The monitor is one of the nicest I have seen, with a very elegant design... makes the room look nice. The image is very colorful and bright and is literally one of the best monitors currently in the market. Especially for it's price, I would really suggest it. The one problem I could detect is the really bad speakers it is equipped with. I would expect something much better. Using this monitor to watch a movie can be a real pain, as the sound can become really nasty.
Summary: I don't watch a lot of TV, I download everything or stream on-line so I was looking for a monitor that I could hook up to my XBox, my MacBook, and my Windows based NEC. I've being using this for a week and I have to say it's exactly what I was looking for. So far I've played Halo 3 ODST and Call of Duty Black Ops on my Xbox, both of which look great.
Summary: I'd give it 5 stars if the sound was just that bit better... but overall it's a good screen. The 90 or 180 degree screen movement is great for working in landscape and portrait modes. Connection wise all is in easy to reach places.... and it's quite light too (if you need to move it about).
Very impressive and easy to set up - excellent with HDMI - but HDMI failed after 19 months

Summary: Update Dec 2012: Unfortunately, this monitor has now developed problems, after just over a year and a half. First the HDMI socket/circuit(?) failed and we just got the message that there was no signal, whether or not the cable was plugged in (tried with two cables). Then the monitor started going straight into shutdown mode as soon as it was switched on. This initially happened in HDMI mode, but now it's happening in DVI mode as well (the DVI and VGA inputs still work).
