Summary: This LG is an excellent monitor as a replacement for a 1 week failure of an Asus monitor. The Asus got great ratings but wasn't that sharp, but this monitor is! It's low cost and a great size, and uses a lot less energy than the 23" Asus. Nice.
Summary: Purchased this LG model in February as a gift. Within one week we were having issues with the monitor. When waking the computer up from sleep mode only half of the monitor would wake up - we'd lose the right half of the monitor and only a reboot of the computer would rectify the situation. After experiencing the same problem a number of times we finally contacted LG. We had the monitor for only 5wks. They recommended we send the monitor to them for evaluation and repair.
Summary: Worked better than anticipated. I received the item and it was in perfect condition. I hooked it up with the necessary wires. My computer picked up the change immediately. I installed the CD that came with the monitor anyway to see if there was something missing. It has been a major improvement from the previous 19" that I did have and I am quite pleased with the improvement in clarity. I rarely play games however I do build graphics.
Summary: My fiance got it for me about 6 months ago and I've been loving it ever since. VGA input has my Windows Desktop and HDMI is hooked up to my PS3. With just a touch of a button I can switch between them. Graphics quality for my PS3 games is simply mind-blowing and Blu-ray movies look brilliant. If you are looking for a personal gaming monitor, you can't go wrong with this. It works with both PS3 and Xbox 360 (HDMI cable required).
Summary: Pros: The screen has great colors, great blacks, and a fast refresh rate for gaming. The monitor is stylish. In general, it looks very, very nice. Cons: The touch controls are hit or miss, and it's hard to "push" the button sometimes. This isn't something I do often, so not a big deal. The stand is a bit flimsy and plastic, so make sure to have it on a sturdy surface. Doesn't tilt very much up or down, but should be enough for most desks.
Summary: This monitor has a great picture and is very easy to set up. I wish it had a little more flexibility in adjustments to height and tilt, but still very acceptable. Looks great even when it's not turned on.
Summary: The picture is bright and clear. The set up was easy. But the stand is flimsy and thus the monitor shakes when I type on the keyboard. I didn't see this mentioned at all in the reviews. Has anyone else had this issue? I'm considering returning it and getting something with a more solid base.
