Summary: The monitor has an excellent picture. I was a bit puzzled with the controls at first because, being used to clicking on the screen, I tried to click on the box displayed on the screen, instead of tabbing the buttons. The controls are a weak point imo, only a small weak point, in that the icons at the control buttons are faint and hard to make out against the grey background if the ambient light is not strong. (I had to shine a torch on them to make them out).
Summary: Bought one of these three months ago. The quality of the picture was very good, although let down by the lack of DVI input. The unit failed after just over two months old. These units come with a swap out '3 year warranty', so I was expecting a swap for a new one. The monitor was collected within 2 days and sent to Scotland for repair. I have not seen it since. That was 4 weeks ago. LG state that they are still awaiting parts !
Summary: This product does NOT have a DVI connector. It is analogue only, much to my annoyance, since I checked the spec on the LG UK site and it very specifically states it supports DVI-D. This is the first TFT I've bought which doesn't have any digital input, surprising because it's near impossible to buy a video card with analogue output these days.
Summary: LG W2252S 22" wide LCD monitor, glossy black, Winner of 2008 IF Product Design Award, 10,000:1 (DFC) contrast ratio, 5ms response time, Fun Key I bought this monitor to upgrade my system (I operate a business that uses CAD extensively). After reading all the reviews I finally settled upon this. It replaced a 21" cathode-ray monitor. The package arrived and I unpacked it. It is a revelation! Clear, bright and absolutely superb. My workplace is now clean and uncluttered.
Summary: I recently purchased an LG W2252S 22" monitor for my home computer. I chose LG because I have an LG television with which I am very pleased. Having used this monitor now for a month I can say that I am extraordinarily pleased with it. The clarity is amazing and I am finding it so much easier to use than my older 17" screen. It is one of the best buys I have made.
Summary: I've been using a budget 17" screen at work for some time and often suffered with eye strain and headaches, convincing HR to get me this 22" screen has helped a great deal. After using a 17" screen for so long this 22" feels massive and the picture is so sharp and clear I really can't praise it highly enough. As well as the size and sharp picture I'm impressed with the great looking design, the bezel is very sleek and stylish and the stand is simple and sturdy.
Summary: Works perfectly right out of the box. On first use it tunes itself to match the PC and so far (1 month) i have not had to adjust anything either forgaming or watching DVD's. No issues and no dead pixels and you also get a nice little "windows"ish tune everytime you switch it on or off (which can be disabled). Excellent sturdy quality at a great price from the worlds second-biggest manufacturer of TV's.
Summary: Having purchased and tested this monitor for several weeks all I can say is that it is superb No blank pixels. Excellent screen clarity and extremely easy to set up with Photoshop and Gimp. A first class product.
Summary: This product does NOT have a DVI interface. I bought this product after searching for a good monitor that ticked all the boxes. The product is good in itself. The one star is for the misleading Amazon advertising, even in bold on the main description. If you require a DVI monitor, this is not for you. I am surprised other reviewers have not picked up on this!
Summary: Received this bad boy this morning, 3 days before estimated deliv time. Pluged it straight in, no probs, worked instantley. The quality is awesome, having owned a 15' monitor before this is just massive. Only down side to it, nothing to do with the monitor is I've got eye strain already, gonna take some getting used to the new size.
