Summary: I have been meaning to review this for a long time but finally doing it. It is a truely superb monity. IPS LED vibrant colors with rich black depths. Sharp images with a variety of customizable controls. 1080p on a 21.5 screen for computer and tv images looks clear and excellent!
Summary: I do a lot of photo retouch work, and I had been holding for the longest time to purchase an LCD screen to replace my aging 21" Sony CRT. Regular TN type LCD displays cannot be used for photo work because they have 18 bit color, awful color reproduction and very poor viewing angles. On the other hand professional IPS displays tend to cost a lost more than $1000 (except for some fine $600 prosumer Dell models which I was not able to ship to Mexico). No more.
Summary: This is an excellent mid range monitor for exceptional value. That being said, I do not use this monitor for graphic design, video editing or high end gaming. As a day to day monitor, it is simply gorgeous. The IPS panel is a clear step up from standard TN panels. It's not perfect for everyone -- the viewing angle leaves something to be desired and some may want more options to configure the picture.
Summary: We have an LB big screen t.v. at home and it was probably our experience with it that influenced me toward this monitor. I needed a slightly larger and much better resolution monitor for use at my office, where I very occasionally do photo editing. I have dual NECs at home, and while this monitor does not approach those jewels, it's bright-off-toward-brilliant and really a pleasure to use throughout a workday.
I agree, could have been better, could have been worse.

Summary: I was skeptical at first, the internet is full of terrible reviews of this monitor, claiming it has terrible black light bleeding. Well guess what, it does. When I got It and hooked it up, I tested it, I used a plain black jpeg, although it was day time, I really couldn't notice any bleeding. Once it got dark out I tried it again, and woah, all four corners were bleeding out the ass.
Summary: Title says it all. I purchased this monitor as a replacement for a Samsung SyncMaster that died on me. I cannot be happier with my choice. Color, Contrast, and Brightness were perfect right out of the box. I have 5 other Samsung HD monitors and this LG IPS display looks WAY better than any of them.
Summary: Basicly the IPS panel is good, but not as good as I thought, or as good as the display on a Macbook Air. I use HDMI to MIniDisplay cable to connect. I bought this mostly because it's a IPS, and price of course. I'm not professional, so I would say color is vivid. But I don't understand why two IPS panel will have different dispaly effect. I tried to adjust the setup of this monitor, but I can't make it the same as my Macbook Air.
Summary: My wife is a photography editor and wanted a quality monitor in case she decided to do some editing at home so I purchased one of these for her. It has a decent color gamut and works great for her, matter of fact she liked it so much I purchased her a second one so she quit using my computer (I have dual monitors so of course she wants them too).
