Summary: I bought this monitor to replace my 19” flat screen I’ve been using for years. I teach college online and spend a lot of time on SKYPE and VSee for student conferences and friends. I was looking for either a new Tablet, Smart Phone or Monitor for my Christmas present to me when I say this on Walmart.com. The color, setup and hookup couldn’t be any easier. It came with both SVGA and DVI cables and I have it connected as DVI. This is the first DVI monitor I’ve owned.
Pros: The screen is clear and flawless. No dead pixels on my end. A huge upgrade from an 18 inch.
Cons: The stand is absolutely terrible. Sure you aren't going to be moving and smacking the monitor around to where it's noticeable, but they could have at least done some quality assurance on the stand. It's really wobbly when you do pick it up and move it around.
Summary: Others mentioned the lack of an HDMI input. I'm indifferent. I'm still using the VGA input and it works just fine. If I needed to plug a Roku box or DVD player into this thing I might care about HDMI. It depends on what you plan to use it for.
Pros: Beautiful image. Good controls offer a lot of flexibility. Narrow bezel around the display would make this very suitable for a multi-display setup.
Cons: If I could take off just half an egg for the cheap stand, I would. LG hit a home run on everything else with this display except the stand. If you're using some VESA mounting arrangement, it won't be a problem for you.
