Best value for the money

Nicholas P., Newegg
5 September 2011
  • Summary: If you can get an IPS monitor for under 300, you're good. I paid $199 which is absurd for all the features you get, let alone the awesome picture off this monitor.
  • Pros: 1. IPS panel for $199 (after promo code) 2. Lots of extra features for the price point (Thru Mode, PiP, remote) 3. Very bright
  • Cons: The stand is the only issue I can think of. As other reviewers noted, it is tilt only and feels a bit cheap.

E2370

Nicholas B., Newegg
19 July 2011
  • Summary: great price for an IPS panel, best bang for your buck.
  • Pros: I absolutely love these monitors! I got 3 of these for my gaming/graphic design build, with 2 GTX 590's powering them, and they are easily the best monitors i have ever owned. The colors are great compared to my old 27" samsung, i love the PiP feature, helps a lot for formatting other PC's while ...
  • Cons: it occasionally will reset after i turn one off, and i have to reenable thru mode

IPS is totally worth it

Quan N., Newegg
16 May 2011
  • Summary: I just wanted to post a less technical review for the more casual user. I've read that the main disadvantage of using IPS panels is the lower response time which can be an issue when gaming. But like I said, Starcraft 2 looks great, as well as other games I have (fallout3, bioshock, etc.
  • Pros: Great picture - colors look great. No ghosting problems when playing Starcraft 2 at highest settings, even without the thru mode it looks fine to me.
  • Cons: Kinda annoyed that the stand doesn't swivel left and right, but you can just buy one of those swivel pads online for a few bucks.

GREAT Monitor

Steven C., Newegg
22 April 2011
  • Summary: This is an amazing monitor for the price. I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a high quality display at a very reasonable price.
  • Pros: Great price for an IPS screen. The LED backlight is much better than any previous LED screens I have used. Matte screen, no glare. Many connection options. (2 hdmi, dvi, vga) Aspect ratio controls. Remote control for certain functions.
  • Cons: Menu and power button placement. The stand seems flimsy when using the menu buttons, but otherwise stable. Screen tilt only, no height adjustment.

Mighty fine display

Joseph N., Newegg
11 April 2011
  • Summary: Though it may be the same panel used in the Dell U2311H, but the LG processing is far superior. Dude, get the LG.
  • Pros: Wonderful colour, night and day compared to a high quality laptop screen. No ghosting in gaming, none, yes I mean none.
  • Cons: No height adjustment/rotation. No big deal for me, if it turns out to be a problem I'd buy a $30-40 monitor stand and still be happy.

nice packaging with minimal weight/waste

mike t., Newegg
8 April 2011
  • Summary: Doesn't show hot to setup AC its on the right side and a bit inconvenient for my particular setup. Didn't need a monitor ( holding tight to my CRT for financial reasons) the IPS/LED combo forced the issue.
  • Pros: made in 11 great tech and good name resolution and "green" Newegg service very nice to have the next day, zero wait, shows organization and dedication. Not in stock elsewhere.
  • Cons: Default brightness is for daytime. Power button needs to be held apparently. Made me replace the CRT with a huge increase in quality.

Overall Review.

Frank K., Newegg
5 April 2011
  • Pros: Some people compared this monitor with Dell monitors (2311 ultrasharp) He is saying that they are using the same panel. 2311 is using e-IPS, and this one is using UH-IPS. 2311's refresh rate is 60hz, and this one is 120hz. I know that some people still prefer LCD over LED backlight LCD monitor. B...
  • Cons: PIP is slower than I expected, but it doesn't bother me at all.

Finally Satisfied

Robert N., Newegg
24 March 2011
  • Summary: This is just an early review as I received these monitors yesterday around noon and wanted to get a quick review up. I tried to be thorough about small details I have noticed along with the big ones.
  • Pros: -IPS/LED for sub 300. (appears to be e-IPS, technically 6bit with RFC for 8bit just like Dell's u2311H). UH-IPS as LG calls it is most likely their term for e-IPS. -No dead pixels. -Very nice white and blacks. -Option to turn off power LED when in use. -Power LED is VERY unobtrusive to begin with...
  • Cons: -Back light doesn't bleed much, but the color shift of this black from the side gives a quick purplish haze similar to the Dell U2311H (most likely e-IPS). -Vertical color banding on all colors except blue (not sure why? and only only fading to black). -Slight burn (darkness) on the bottom left a...

Отличный монитор на UH-IPS за адекватные деньги

Григорий, Onliner
26 January 2012
