Summary: Great for the price. I'm no monitor expert, and I don't have a ton of knowledge on them.. but this was recommended to me by a few guys on a forum who are all about getting $500+ monitors, as a good one to get for someone who doesn't want the bets and didn't want to spend a ton of cash on it. I've seen better, sure... but this one is still very good.
Summary: I had some troubles with this monitor. It took me a couple of months before I could actually get it working right. Well, that's not exactly true... It worked immediately, the first time, when I hooked it up to my computer as a dual monitor --using the standard VGA port. The problem was that after about a week it stopped working, and then I spent a couple of hours over a couple of days trying to figure it out: was it my computer? was it the monitor?
Summary: this monitor is more than just for gaming though it does look amazing with the games we use on it also is simply fantastic for editing and creating our videos and working on the photos the stand though is so cheap wish it were better quality so after months we finally just rigged something else up by actually mounting it to the wall can not wait this summer to try it with the new Wii U
Summary: Have had this monitor for months and have never experience lag or ghost image issues. Everything looks great watching videos or games. With the monitor in one position, was able to see the image clearly from all distances and angles around my small bedroom. No problems with glare at all under artificial or natural light. No difficult connection issues for me. I hook it up to my laptop most times to use it as a second monitor.
Summary: I am delightfully impressed with this monitor. I have had LG monitors in the past and this one meets the high quality that I expected from such a great company. There is no other monitor in it's class for this cheap. High resolution (1080p), vibrant colors (IPS display), and FPS playable (BF3 and TF2 run just fine). The bezel is not distracting and buttons are easy to reach.
Summary: I've been using this monitor now for several months and like it very much for both general computing (web browsing, emails, etc) and watching videos. Images and text are both clear and the colors out of the box are accurate. My only real issue so far has been that the monitor once failed to "wake up" when my computer came out of sleep mode, and the only way I could get the monitor to work again was to restart my pc.
Summary: This monitor flickers when dimmed. It is either a misuse of PWM or a plain defect. I thought I'd never experience flickering screens again since the demise of CRTs. This monitor brought flickering and the bad memory back. LCD monitors do *not* have to flicker in order to dim. Apple displays stay dim gracefully with no flicker with LG-manufactured panels. It seems that LG makes good panels but not good monitors. In addition, this monitor has an unbelievable design flaw.
Summary: Long story short: I like to think I have an unhealthy attention to detail - and this monitor doesn't disappoint. I bought the display to serve as the primary monitor for a 2007 MacBook Pro that I'm now using as a desktop, so this is an upgrade for a number of reasons. For starters, display panel technology has certainly come a long way since '07, and an IPS panel is quite a worthwhile luxury these days given how much the prices have come down.
Summary: This is a fairly good monitor for the price, but I will probably return it. Pro's: - it is very light weight - putting it together was a breeze - all I had to do was hook up the cable to my MacBook Air, and it started up immediately. No drivers needed. The monitor detected the input method without me having to click any buttons. - The size is good for a small room - not as intimidating as a 27" monitor. And **way** cheaper than the new Thunderbolt display.
