Summary: This was to replace an HP monitor. There was nothing to dislike and the LG performs faultlessly with a screen that could only be described as perfect! Superior to anything else in the house by miles!
Summary: Very thin, very light. Unfortunately wobbles at the slightest movement on the desk due to the lightweight plastic stand. I could never get good colour from this so sent it back, spent ages trying to tune it in via the menus. Bought a Samsung LED screen instead which has much better picture & build quality.
Summary: I'm very impressed with what I got for £140. First of all I would like to mention that I'm using a DVI-D Dual Link cable to hook up to the monitor. Compared to HDMI, they both deliver the same great quality picture but I'm using the DVI-D Dual Link for 2 reasons: 1: As soon as I plugged it into my monitor from my computer, the picture was perfectly set up (1080p,just the right brightness and colour).
Summary: Bought this display for my new gaming/work rig. Looks great compared to the vast majority of screens in this price range, but dust and finger prints are easily seen on the glossy body. Screen brightness is fine although not bright enough against strong daylight, but great to have a screen that doesn't have a glossy screen.
Summary: Bought this mointor to use as an additional monitor for an extended desktop. the colourimetry is a little disappointing considering it is LED back lit, but it can be adjusted with a fair bit of messing about, eventually you can get it to look OK. One of the main reasons for chosing this monitor was for the digital input, either DVI or HDMI. The PC's ATI graphics card DVI connector was already taken up with the default monitor, so you'd think OK I'll just use the HDMI!
Summary: Lovely looking product, excellent Amazon service - right down to my returning it because of the LG's poor rendition of type. This is particularly important to me in my work typesetting and producing magazine artwork in Quark Express. I tried many settings using the existing windows XP drivers and the ones supplied on LG's disc - and using the product's proper resolution as stated in its spec.
Summary: I was a little wary about buying a monitor online without seeing it first, but this monitor did not disappoint. It's amazing how thin and light it is compared to my old LCDs. A major problem with my old Apple displays is that they get SO hot. Almost too hot to touch. These LG monitors are barely warm. The picture quality is great and the screen has a lovely matte finish. The 'high glossy' in the description refers to the surround.
Summary: A very brief review from me: As noted by several reviews, the whole thing feels very flimsy, when pressing buttons it can shake around a lot and all in all does not feel sturdy. This, however, is the ONLY negative point. The picture is fantastic. I have watched several movies in 1080p HD on it so far and they have been picture perfect. Conclusion: Buy one immediately.
