Bought first one, faulty.. exchanged..faulty again
Lunaleon, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews

Summary: This is not a very good model. I bought my first one in Aug 2012, after 7 months, it started to show pink lines on top of the screen. after doing that for about 10 minutes, the screen would blink continuously. I used my manufactorers warranty, and waited about 1 month to receive my exchange monitor. Same exact model. It has worked very well for another 6 or so months. Now, the bottom of screen has a dim spot.
Summary: I love how nice the color is on the screen. It doesn't stretch out lines so the picture stays sharp. I LOVE watching the "You have saved [#] of trees" grow with the energy saving mode. Couldn't be happier with this product.
Summary: We had purchased a custom built $1600 laptop from a company specializing in power notebooks. However, laptop monitor was pixel walking and my daughters eyes have gone so bad in past year, that we got an additional monitor, once we discovered it was the laptop screen damage. I was worried the cheap monitors would be bad as well, but albeit not 100% perfect it is a lot better than her laptop.
Summary: I have owned this monitor for 6 months, the build quality is poor. On/off button is junk, visually poor compared to most (not very good for gaming), low fps compared to the average. The stand is weak and wobbly. Bugs can get inside and are impossible to get rid of, they are forever displayed on the screen. I wish I had a longer warranty.
Summary: I give this a 5 stars because the LCD is pretty good. You have to calibrate it though as the defaults are probably not what you want. I feel for the $116 I paid, it's a pretty sweet deal. This doesn't include a DVI cable, just a VGA/D-Sub cable which makes sense since it's an old standard so everyone should be able to use it while not everyone has DVI. I'm using the DVI cable. Your mileage may vary with the VGA/D-Sub cable, as quality depends on quality of the cable.
Summary: This monitor has such a poor viewing angle and light blacks that I actually sent mine back, thinking that it was faulty. After "extensive testing" no fault was found. So I guess that its just a poor quality display and not faulty.
Summary: I am very happy with this monitor. The picture is fantastic and the resolution is nothing short of amazing. The wide screen allows me to view two pages at a time when writing reports in Word. I will definately recommend LG products to my friends and family.
Summary: this monitor was simple to connect to my computer.the graffics are great.so far I can't find any thing about this monitor that is not desirable but I don't particularly like the red light on the on/off switch.i think that it should have been blue .but that is a very minor problem.i still think this is a very nice monitor for the money value.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality
Summary: We were looking for a new monitor to replace a failed CRT, wandered into Best Buy, looked at an arraay of 10 -20 LCD/LED monitors and all three of us picked out the LG E2242T-BN. High resolution, vivid color, LED backlit and very competitively priced. We did something we rarely do, we bought it on the spot, took it home, plugged it in and went about our business........... SWEET!
