Summary: The first thing I should mention is that I ordered the monitor after 6pm yesterday, and it arrived about 9:30am this morning. That is incredibly fast delivery, especially as I only paid for the standard one! The monitor is very nice, light, and pretty good quality for the price. The menu is a bit quirky - there are no labels on the buttons, and you have to press the far left hand one to bring up the menu display, but once it is on the screen, the appropriate labels /...
Summary: Love this screen- Images are very crisp and clean, colours are vibrant. Absolutely worth the price I paid for it. It is very slim and very light and just looks excellent. It doesn't have an HDMI out, just vga, but my VAIO laptop had both connections and it really doesnt matter how it is connected.
Summary: I bought this for a neighbour who wanted to upgrade from an old CRT. I was a bit worried as their PC was manufactured in 2002, but the monitor worked perfectly. The PC video card could not match the native monitor resolution, so the picture was not quite as sharp as it may have been, but the colours were excellent. I would definitely recommend. It also come with a VGA lead, which I am not sure if this is made clear in the write-up.
Summary: Chose this monitor to replace my aging 15" CRT and I'm so glad I did. Doddle to set up; just plugged it in & changed resolution (XP Pro OS). I did need to adjust the contrast & brightness from the factory settings, but once I did the display was perfect. Another reviewer mentioned having no symbols above the buttons, but by pressing the first menu button a display of what the buttons do appear onscreen above them.
Summary: I am very happy with this product, it has a good make, design and performs well. The contrast ratio is extremely good and could not be any better by looking at it. The design is nice and the monitor is very slim. There are many options to configure this monitor but the auto setup was ran automatically and i have never needed to adjust it. I am currently using windows 7 SP1 and i did not need to use the CD that came with this product, so simple plug in and go really.
Summary: Now that I have the LGE1940S 18.5 inch VGA monitor working it is ok. But when I installed it on my computer the software crashed the computer and caused me to loose a lot of stuff such as photo's and plans that had been stored on the hard drive. I have recovered the computer but it took a lot of work to do it. I would not recommend taking the risk with this model without getting re-assurances that this will not happen to ypur computer.
