Excerpt: As the monitor isn't cheap, the reason why I decided to buy it was the possibility to connect usb-devices to it and use it uver the Thunderbolt connection to my mac book pro 15". The macbook pro is from early 2011 with 16 gb ram.
Summary: Do yourself the favor and spend a little more on the extended warranty with New Egg and have a new unit cross shipped and avoid manufacturer repairs entirely.
Pros: Attractive esthetically, massive screen real estate and high resolution. Purchase this unit to replace a pair of 24" 16:9 units and was very pleased up until about a week ago. Unit purchased on 5-22-15 and has developed a single ribbon running vertically the length of the display. I would have ho...
Summary: Don't go curved, no reason to spend the xtra money. The viewing angles on this monitor is amazing, Curve is a gimmick, this is more than enough, great deal for a great monitor.
Pros: 21:9 Aspect Ration- Once you go wide, you will never go back. Amazing for gaming, no perceivable ghosting whatsoever, amazing picture quality, and 1440p will not kill your FPS like a 4k panel will. You don't have to have a 1000.00 graphics card to push these pixels! I swapped to this from 3 Benq ...
Cons: Some Websites and games not compatible with this aspect ratio, so you might have to tinker with settings, but these issues are few and far between, not a deal killer. Once you go 21:9, you will not ever go back.
Summary: I wish there were two display ports available as inputs so I'd be able to hook up my other computer with something better than hdmi which only reaches 50hz at 3440x1440 resolution. I also would like to have a dedicated input switch button rather than having to dig through the on-screen menus.
Pros: 4,953,600 pixel real estate is glorious for working in Flash CC, Adobe Premiere Pro (Full HD at 1x scale with palettes open). The refresh rate is better than the 8ms Dell Ultrasharp 2408wfp I've been using for six years. Wider screen is also helpful for side-by-side coding and keeping webpages op...
Cons: The color reproduction isn't quite as nice or smooth as the Dell Ultrasharp 2408wfp that I've been using for six years. During ownership of the monitor the left and right halves of the screen would lag occasionally giving a "tear" down the middle of the screen. It didn't happen frequently so I fi...

Summary: This is a really nice display - it's a 5 star based on the quality of the display. But, it's a 3 star when taking into account how much the side-by-side is hyped - as it just does not work very well. Why? The aspect ratios are all off.
Summary: I'm a software engineer, simply put, this monitor is amazing for development. Fits 3 windows side by side no problem. IDE, browser and terminal all readable on one screen. The only negative I have is that I sometimes lose my cursor in all the real estate. Not a bad problem to have though.
Excerpt: I got this for my music recording studio. I also do film editing. The split screen function to view 'Mix and Edit' windows is nice. The 34" screen is nice. I did a LOT of research before this purchase, and decided it was my best choice after deciding not to get a 4k monitor.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality, resolution
Summary: So far I have nothing to complain about. I got this since I am a contractor and do digital estimating. I need to see plans well and wide. This works well for that. I'm worried that I will not be able to use a regular monitor again.
