Includes DP and HDMI cables

Vladislav K., Newegg
  • Summary: I just wanted to let people know that the monitor comes with both DisplayPort and HDMI cables. I could not find this info, so I ordered a DP cable, which ended up being a waste. I am able to drive full resolution on this monitor with my HP Elite laptop using the DisplayPort output.
  • Pros: Includes DP and HDMI cables
  • Cons: none

Superb replacement for two wide-gamut monitors

ThePixelWhisperer, LG Electronics Ratings and Reviews
2 weeks ago
  • Summary: I bought this monitor to replace two 27-inch wide-gamut monitors. The previous monitors used way too much power--200 watts total. I felt guilty every time I turned them on. This one hovers around 50 watts once calibrated. Plus, wide-gamut monitors work best with software built to take advantage...so Photoshop and Lightroom worked wonderfully, but Microsoft Office and other apps looked over-saturated.

Lucky?

Anonymous, Newegg
  • Summary: It will be great if Newegg put the monitor inside another box instead of shipping the monitor only in the regular box.
  • Pros: I normally don’t buy monitors online because I don’t believe that any “new” product will include a “dead” anything. The price of the monitor was right (discounted + coupon). After mixes reviews, I decided to give it a change. Maybe I’m lucky but no dead pixels and light bleed is minimal. The monitor looks sharp. Playing video games on it is just another positive experience. (the monitor give you an option to set the response time to high). I just replaced 3x 22.5 inch...
  • Cons: So far no.

Great monitor with some flaws

Josh B., Newegg
  • Summary: This monitor certainly takes up quite a bit of desk space so keep that in mind before purchasing. I could fit two 27" screens in the same space as this one takes up. Another thing to consider I have issues running this on a displayport due to my 290 so make sure your graphics card isn't one with driver issues if you plan on using displayport to drive this.
  • Pros: I've had this monitor for a couple months now and compared to others I've owned the colors are definitely a lot more vivid and the wide format definitely makes up for going from 2 to 1 monitor. The overall aesthetics are nice as well with a lot of metal and a good sturdy feel to the screen.
  • Cons: My biggest gripe has to be with the menu navigation on this monitor. The joystick inferface makes it impossible to do anything quickly and is just tedious. As others have mentioned there is about a 10 second delay after shutting down an input before the screen will turn back on to let you enter the menu to either shut the monitor off or in my case change inputs. They would have been better off putting a dedicated input and power button on here rather than making you g...

Horrible light bleed

Mason D., Newegg
  • Pros: Immersive format and resolution Great color output except in darkly lit scenes
  • Cons: 1. My LCD from 10 years ago doesn't have this much light bleed... How this ever got released to production I will never know... 2. Response from joystick first click is too slow 3. When your screen is switching off from shutting the computer down, it takes 10 seconds or more to get to the point where you can actually use the menu to turn the monitor off.

SUPER superwide monitor

Steve in TX, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: Love the product. I'm using it with a Macbook Pro laptop. No need to run dual-screens. Thunderbolt works great. The power brick is a bit of a disappointment but the cord is long enough you can probably hide it. The other down side is that it's so wide you will wish it's curved. The far edges feel a bit out of the normal plane or angle of view.
  • Pros: Large Viewing Area, Reliable Performance
  • Cons: Large Footprint

Blown Away

Zenmartini, B&H Photo
  • Excerpt: Even with what this cost, I have no buyers remorse at all. It's only been 3 days but I feel compelled to write my first B&H review about it.Once again B&H came through and it arrived next day. It took me 15 minutes to go from the shipping carton to turning it on. If you have been around technology for more than an hour, you will have no trouble setting this up. Before you can even get it out of the box, there is a warning about squeezing the screen.
  • Pros: Great picture quality, Large Viewing Area, Reliable Performance
