Summary: This is a great monitor with a few set back. I have an Asus TN panel VE247H and viewing the content side by side has barely any lag between the two displays. This is my first ips panel so I can't say how good this monitor for an ips panel, but the color is so rich that an orange color object will look yellowish in a TN panel. For the con, dual link-up feels so clunky. It only supports pc input as source efficiently.
Pros: Rich color, brightness, decent lag
Cons: Dual link-up is useless unless both sources are pc, can't support console, viewing from the side will see different layer of light, changing brightness does nothing
Summary: FYI I do not own one of these monitors. I've looking looking to get a wide format display for a while and the price on this looked right, however I could not find any reviews except the one here. A local BB had them in stock and on display so I went to have a first hand look...and..well... while nice and wide it's disappointingly short on the vertical, a good 3 inches short of my currently Samsug T260 and S24B300, which just turned out to be a deal breaker in the end.
Pros: Wide, good color and picture from what I could see.
Summary: I used LG monitor before this one which was awesome until panel has failed. Luckily i had a month of a warranty left to give me a full refund. Thus decided to get a new monitor and 21:9 seems pretty good. For my desk setup, i needed height adjustment so instead of "UM" series, I've decided get this model. 21:9 seems amazing, it feels like my eyes are rolling endlessly from one end to another.
