Summary: I use a MacBook Pro as well as a MacBook Pro with Retina Display. This monitor works well with both MacBooks. The only drawback is that you aren't able to use the split-screen functions for this monitor as they only work with Windows OS.
Summary: Quality: Absolute best quality monitor in the current market. I also have 27" Apple Cinema Display, LG 29EA93 is just better quality without glare. Resolution: With my Macbook Air & Microsoft Surface Pro, it produces full 2560 x 1080. Stunning quality of pictures and letters.
Summary: -It has been a great monitor for me with no actual flaws display wise. But with all the people with bad reviews on it failing it has me on edge that this one could go out at anytime. It would make me second guess getting it if I had to again. But it is a great monitor if you get a good working one..
Pros: -Beautiful Colors as it is an IPS display -The ultrawide res makes this a great monitor in the work world where I actually put windows snap feature to good use daily -No dead pixels or light leaking. -Great whites and black and brightness doesn't wash out colors. -Just a beautifully designed moni...
Cons: -This is no issue to me but it is not necessarily a gloss display. May bug some people for the $650 price range it can take away from color. -Stand can seem flimsy at times. -I wasn't able to handle the response delay for gaming on xbox which is a big reason I bought this.. (again person preferen...
Summary: A little shorter that what I used to, but it's a lot wider. LG makes a great monitor, the buttons are touch sensitive. I wish they'll make a bigger one. If you are on a mac, use the right cable dual link dvi-i or display port. Kudos to LG. I am fan now. Please make a 75-85 inch tv. 65 is too small.
Summary: I believe the issue with the particular unit and not with the model.
Pros: This is an amazing monitor. There is nothing I can say, that is wrong with it's features, size, weight, performance, e.t.c.
Cons: In 6 months a line dropped from top to bottom. A troubleshooting identified that that was not a video card, port or a cable. The matrix itself is a little loose and it seems that the contact to the back plane is not solid enough. I did not open a case, but routed the issue to the manufacturer rig...
Summary: Great color reproduction straight out of box. Usb 3.0 on the back, but you must use the display port. Built in speaker sounds great and not cheap.
Pros: Watching movies on this monitor is quite refreshing because the black bars are gone. surprisingly, watching movies this way is like a whole new experience. Going back to re watch some of my movie collection. Also great for gaming with wider field of views in most games. No ghosting.
Summary: I am in the video editing business an needed something more manageable. Due to space constraints I couldn't use two screens. The LG 29ea93 fits me perfectly. Everything I need too see is right in front of me with plenty of space to spare.
Summary: Ultra fast shipping from Korea (3 days). It came with an asian/european style power cable that plugs into the power supply, so if you're gonna used it in US make sure you have a replacement one or an adapter ($3).
Pros: - awesome design - very nice, super bright screen - it's WIDE! - high quality materials - functionality and features
Cons: - none so far :) maybe LG could make it bigger, like maybe 34", and higher resolution? But anyway I'm extremely pleased with this one.
