Cons: Non-Adjustable, the monitor by default is angled downward and with no way to adjust it, makes it rather annoying sometimes. For this price it's not acceptable to have a monitor without a single adjustment to the stand. Also the color calibrating software from LG doesn't work with my PC. Could be an issue on my end, not dropping an egg for that just something to bare in mind.
Summary: I bought this for the screen real estate - alternative to having multiple monitor setup, however I feel the monitor is too wide for desktop use, in a multi-monitor environment I would have angled the screens for better viewing (I wear progressive lenses) I should have spent more and purchased a 27" 2560x1200 screen that would provide same horizontal resolution and give me more vertically. I think the pixel density would probably be ideal on the 27" higher res display.
Pros: lots of screen real-estate. has vesa mounts. includes speakers. picture is good.
Cons: The screen controls are difficult to use. They are soft touch sensitive buttons and just trying to find the buttons activates the controls. (I had read reviews about this, but I didn't think it would be a deal breaker - just annoying). There is only on display port connection, so if you want to daisy chain, this one would need to be last on the chain. (I knew this when I purchased). Does not have height adjustment. (There is a model that has it, but this one was on sa...
Pros: after playing at 21:9 its hard to go back to 16:9. the extra space on the sides comes in very handy in games and in putting windows side by side. people say they miss the height. well, i compensated for that by putting the task bar on the side. and when i want to see the rest of the web page, i scroll. :) you can hide the task bar too. that helps. but i like it showing so that's why i put it on the side. there are pros and cons though for sure. i have a dual monitor s...
Cons: slight corner backlight bleed in the two left corners. enough that whenever the screen is dark, i notice the light hint in the corners.
Summary: I was looking for an alternative to Apples' Thunder monitors since I plan to switch to mac later this year. Had my sight set on an Asus monitor with similar specs when this display popped up in the suggestions one day. The price (Sale), connections, built in speaker review, and screen splitter w/ Mac compatibly stamp made me jump on this. I won't have my Mac for some time, so I'm not able to make a complete review.
Pros: Size, Price, Connections, IPS, response time, and good built in speakers.
Cons: Lack of support for 20:9 ratio on console gaming (I know, it's not made for that). Has true color finder application for PC, but not enough display presets built into monitor itself.

Summary: Overall very worth the price. Works as it should and very high quality build. This monitor is nice to look at when it is on or off.
Pros: Very nice clean picture. I have not had any issues with the screen split working as others have mentioned. Worked awesome right out of the box. It is used for daily computing, reading news shopping on Newegg etc. Also used for light gaming. StarCraft II and Diablo III mostly and it renders fine.
Cons: Only negative is the light bleed on the corners. Like others I have noticed this. On mine it is only really noticeable during shutdown. It does not effect the picture quality during use. Also would have been nice to have back lit control buttons.
Summary: Giving it four eggs because it did come with a couple dead pixels. I know I could turn it in but that involves me getting an rma and then paying for the initial return cost and driving all the way to ups to drop of this enormous box and then waiting for it to get approved and going a few weeks without a monitor and then having them send me a new one that I have no assurance of it being better.
Pros: aesthetically pleasing fast lots of options (in screen menu) tons of tunability (color balance, temp etc.) lots of ports
Cons: When picture quality is set to "fast" there are lots of ghosting with dark pictures, especially noticeable when playing games with a dark backdrops. Came with two adjacent dead pixels. Fortunately it happened to be in the bottom left hand corner and for the most part unnoticeable. Have been too lazy to get and rma and send back the enormous box.
Summary: 1. You need REALLY good cables. Nothing cheap. If you do it either won't work or it looks terrible. Get a good HDMI and/or DISPLAY port cables. 2. when in split source mode only one of them has the speakers. Not a big deal but a mixer would have been nice and both HDMI and Displayport carries audio. You can switch the audio source but that's another adventure with the menu options. 3. Windows doesn't always restart the monitor after it goes to sleep.
Pros: So I use a MAC for work and I use a PC at home. When I bring my Mac home to work at nights it's nice to be able to use Synergy from one machine to another and have dual monitors. I bought this monitor with that in mind. It has the ability to split the screen down the middle (for two sources) as if it were two monitors. Sounds great in theory but in practice its not that great for a couple of reasons: 1. To get this into split source mode you have to fumble around with...
Cons: see the pros. I wrote it all as a single review
Summary: VERY worth 400 - probably worth every penny of 500. having had an Eyefinity setup with three 22" monitors and this i can honestly say this is better. takes up far less space and sacrifices nothing.
Pros: Excellent color, sharpness and depth. The wide resolution is extremely helpful in gaming and looks superb. The monitor advertises a 10ms refresh rate but it actually feels faster than the 5ms samsung that i also have. The high quality back lighting has something to do with that.
Cons: I knock one star off because for an IPS display the off angle is not very good. It is better than any TFT could ever hope of being but you still need to be somewhat in line with the monitor to take advantage of the colors it offers...
