Worked Great at frist

Alec O., Newegg
30 September 2013
  • Pros: Looks great and, large paper weight when not working to keep things held down.
  • Cons: Issues powering up. After going into standby mode for long periods of time it shuts off and does not turn back on - unless you unplug the power cord and plug it back in.

Shiva, Amazon

  • Summary: After much anticipation, i finally received the monitor yesterday. I was very excited about immediately plugging it in and to my dissapointment i see a message on the monitor saying that it would not support the max resolution of 2560 x 1080 but instead only allow 1600 x 900.

LG29EA93

John A., Newegg
24 July 2013
  • Pros: Great looking monitor. Love the way it showcases the games that can utilize its viewing potential.
  • Cons: Dead pixels....as a gamer some games just are dark throughout and looking at a dark background with the white dead pixels is annoying. Especially for the price maybe I'm being picky but $600 plus I expect perfection...sent unit back for replacement. Got my replacement and now I have dead pixels i...

  • Summary: the version they sent me is 29EA93-P model, (not sure what firmware) The screen looks great, and games look fabulous. But maybe I will send this back, because I have 6 dead pixels. Also for no apparent reason the screen was refusing to turn on, even though all the cables were properly set.

Replacement Still Not Good

Alexander D., Newegg
3 May 2013
  • Summary: Will buy the Dell 29" and hope for the best. Its the same panel from what I read and Dell has a ZERO dead pixel poicy for this Premium monitor for white on black. 6 pixels of black on white. LG needs to address the light bleed and for $600+ you have got to get no pixels stuck...
  • Pros: Great color, wonderful for games.
  • Cons: This is the second one I have and I had to send it back for a refund. The first one had only one dead white on black pixel and a ton of light bleed on the lower left hand corner. The replacement had 3 white deal pixels in the middle of the screen that are very noticeable and the light bleed was l...

Poor Spec

Harry, Amazon
7 September 2014
  • Summary: It is powered by a DC converter like a laptop so I wonder how long it will live. I almost sent it back when I struggled with the vertical lines constantly appearing for almost an hour every time I connect the monitor direct to my High Spec computer using VTX3D AMD Radeon R9 290 X Edition 4GB .
