Summary: I wound up using the "27MP33.icm" color profile that came on the included CD. (The default profile in Fedora was making everything look way too dark.) I couldn't find the file anywhere on LG's website so you might not want to throw your disk away.
Pros: This was really a great deal with the free 128 GB SSD. It has much better viewing angles than my old LG 22" monitor (L227WTG), uses less power, and is lighter. It doesn't really wobble any more than my old monitor did. No dead pixels and very bright.
Cons: The power cord wasn't long enough to reach my battery backup unit. I wasted a lot of time tweaking the default settings before discovering the ICM profile on the installation disk. I wish the stand would swivel. A one year warranty seems a bit short for a monitor.
Pros: This is the best monitor you can purchase for the money. I bought two of them using GTX 760 SC 2GB. Wish i had bigger desk to run 3 monitor. Picture looks great on both, colors same
Cons: Downside is there are no dvi and my GPU only has dvi-i and dvi-d and hdmi. Hdmi is taken for my 50inch Lg tv out in living room. Dvi-i to vga adapter is being used for one of this lg monitor and dvi-d to hdmi cable is being used for this second lg monitor.
Summary: I chose this monitor , because LG is known for quality products.I also chose it because of its size and specs. I bought it here because N.E. has the best price and service of any on line retail electronics sellers period.
Pros: The monitor is a great bang for the buck, there is no two ways about that. At the discounted price that was available when I purchased it, this screen provided more pixels for your dollar than anything else out there.
Cons: How is there no DVI port on this monitor? Look, its 2015. Its nice that LG included an HDMI input, but its beyond silly that they overlooked DVI.
Pros: Nice clear bright display. Thin. I had just wanted a bigger monitor but was surprised at how much better the display is to the old one. Also makes my TV as second monitor look bad in comparison. By the way, black borders on HDMI is easily fixed by going to overscan options in video card settings.
Cons: No DVI. DVI is nice to use as an input switch. Base is flimsy but I'm not using it.
Pros: Wide viewing angle, happy with the display quality, VESA mounting - I use an adjustable display stand on my desk to put the monitor at eye level.
Cons: I was going to use the HDMI input from my video card but there were large black borders on all sides at 1920 x 1080. The manual says, If you use HDMI PC, it can cause compatibility problem. So I am using the D-SUB analog input. I wish it had DVI input also.
Summary: It is a 200$ monitor, I bought two, did not expect much. My GPU is over kill for these. I am using them for basic computer programs and for programming PLCs. If you are into games and those kind of things I would not suggest this monitor.
Summary: A short extension cord easily rectifies the problem of the short power cable. Other reviewers have considered the fact that this monitor has an external power brick as a con. I feel that anything that saves weight inside the monitor itself is a pro, especially when using a swing arm mount.
Pros: Nice picture after adjustments. Very light weight. My swing arm mount supports it easily. Fast enough for gaming. Excellent sale price.
Cons: Very short power supply cable. Poorly optimized settings from factory. More input options would have been nice. The supplied monitor stand is pretty wobbly and it does not rotate. Doesn't come supplied with HDMI cable.
