Excerpt: I bought this looking to upgrade from a previous 21.5" monitor. This was the cheapest decent IPS monitor in this size and price range.
The difference was between night and day compared to my old monitor. Out of the box this looked great for me.
Pros: Quality, Features/Settings, easy to use, Performance, Style/Design
Summary: These monitors rock (I bought 2), but for some reason when moving from one place to a new place (this is probably user error so...) one monitor stop working completely... I think there might be something wrong with the buttons at the bottom of the screen. That said the one that still works is great.
Summary: You get what you pay for here. If you're going to use this in any normally lit area, don't buy this monitor as it is not bright enough.
Pros: Good picture and good color but the good ends there.
Cons: Brightness is HORRID. At 100% brightness it is hardly even acceptable to use. You could only use this monitor successfully with your lights off or in a dark cave. My laptop screen, at 60% brightness was still brighter than this monitor. Also the stand is garbage and barely holds the monitor up. T...
Summary: I should've saved money for a 144 hz monitor. The sale got me into buying this.
Pros: I wish i could make it a lil brighter but overall the monitor is great. My gtx 980 ti is a huge overkill to these monitor and causes alot of screen tearing at 100-140 fps and higher. Even with the vsync at 60 fps, it helped a lil bit but u could still see some tearing and its annoying.
Cons: I can still see a lot of screen tearing with vsync, if you are a hardcore gamer or someone who spends alot time in front of the monitor, please get a 144 hz monitor and with g-sync of free sync of possible because the screen tearing will cause some uneasiness or headaches in a long run. It forces...
Summary: These were purchased by my workplace, but they are essentially the exact same model. They replaced Dell 24 inch class monitors (23 inch usable) and the LG is better. Not only more viewable area, but half the weight. I use a multiple monitor stand and the weight affects the ease of adjustment.
Pros: Compared to other 27 inch class monitors, this one is right in the middle, which is a very good thing, considering the price. It does not have speakers, which is a plus because at work they would be a nuisance. Monitor speakers are rarely worthwhile anyway. I did need to make display adjustments,...
Cons: No cons, really. The specs state no DVI input. I use DVI to HDMI adapter cables and the result is flawless. I used adapter bricks but theyprotruded too far from the back of my docking port replicator, so I got cables and no problem at all. The adapters can be found for less than $5 and cables les...
Pros: Light weight! Thin! Low power usage. Great picture. I'm not using it for gaming so I do not know about the ultra high speed response. But for general usage I love it. I have 4 of these for my servers.
Cons: Have not found any yet. and have had some of this model for over a year.
Summary: It can be hard to deduce these things from specs on web site or manual. They don't SAY "no speaker" anywhere. If they won't tell you what the power output of the speakers are, than assume there are no speakers.
Pros: good image quality, no bad pixels, very lightweight, low power.
Cons: no speakers. Construction is very lightweight. This should not matter for a monitor that sits in one place for several years without moving. No DVI plug.
