Summary: Great monitor for photo editing! I calibrated it and was able to get 99% sRGB coverage on the first time. So the claimed coverage is definitely right on the money! There is no monitor out there that gets anywhere near this coverage in this price range. I originally had a Dell U2414h that I tried calibrating and was only able to get a maximum of 90% sRGB coverage (claimed 96%) so returned it and couldn't be happier.
Summary: If I had the cash, I would go for LG's 34" curved 21:9 1440p equivalent of this monitor. For $1000 USD I imagine it is worth the cost, but I just don't have that much available to me. I would also appreciate more 21:9 TVs. Games at that aspect ratio on a TV-sized display... Just fantastic. Not even bothering to buy a TV until 21:9 becomes more standardized.
Pros: First and foremost I must address the backlight bleed issue. This is a problem that exists between individual monitors, not a fault of model or brand. My particular monitor has very low amounts of backlight bleed, but that doesn't mean that yours won't. If it does, LG seems to be one of those companies that won't give you too much of a hassle to replace your monitor with a new one with, if you request it within a reasonable time frame of course. With that aside, 21:9 ...
Cons: An unacceptable number of fullscreen applications don't have proper support for 21:9, especially games. By that I mean 16:9 content in these applications is stretched and skewed across the display, with black borders on all sides of the content. Most of the games that do this are console ports, where a typical 16:9 or 5:4 display is often assumed. One game that does this without the console-port excuse is Terraria. Most indie games are fine I've found, and most newer ...

Summary: I do a lot of video editing and Blu-ray watching, and this monitor is excellent. Max resolution of 2560x1080, and although I only utilize 1920x1080, Blu-rays look amazing on this monitor. Scope features fill up the entire screen, and watching Blu-rays in full 2.35:1 in Cinema 1 mode on this monitor is breathtaking. This is a very strong purchase for the high-end moviephile; I've only had this for a few days so far, but I love it.
Summary: This display is amazing for the price! It took less than 2 min to set up. It connected with my mac very easily all I needed was a thunderbolt adapter which you can pick up at any electronic store. Amazing color and contrast. The extra width has helped with countless programing assignments.
Summary: This monitor can replace dual monitors with the advantage there are no bezels in the middle- which lets me "squeeze" a third window onto the screen. Got to keep the second monitor - for when I need it. IPS panel has nice color rendering. Great for applications that use multiple windows, for music, photo or video editing. 21:9 is native to film, so movies, "fit" well.
Summary: ....there were mixed reviews for this monitor and now I know why, if you are using it with an old-mediocre PC you will have bad results, that simple. now, if you have a decent to awesome computer( in my case a gaming Alienware R4) you will love this monitor. Movies look awesome on this monitor, no issues at all with the settings or using it.
Pros: Easy To Set Up, Easy To Use, Excellent Image, Quality Construction
