Summary: I guess the menu volume controls the pc output. i don't really know what a dual link dvi cable is i am using my IOGEAR GHDC1405W6 with Ethernet from here 3yrs ago. didn't use the included, i think the io has more quality PLS options? Probably over paid on my last lg by $100 ( according to what the new models are) but that was an early adoption and so is this.
Pros: This is an upgrade from my LG E2370V-BF i have had for over 3 years. This has a lot of the same specs including power usage weight and contrast plus more. The split screen software is an awesome feature that has little cpu draw. The windows 7 feature was never as slick for my use. Adjustability is good with gaming and cinema modes. Thru sound on headphones is impressive and seems better than built in but not as good as my home stereo output (sd-at1000) Built in speake...
Cons: The external power supply DVI cord from my last lg makes resolution look like a 90's crt saturated cable market? Other options sound better than built in speakers changing audio from hdmi to optical out a bit of a hassle / i don't know how to do that off hand.
Summary: I previously had two 20" monitors that ran 1680x1050 resolution. I really wanted one monitor to replace them, however if you put them both together I would have needed something that does 3360x1050 resolution. The LG 34UM95 would do that, but at $1000 that was hard to justify. One 25um64 (or any of the 64/65 series would not suffice by itself given their 2560x1080 resolution). However when Newegg put these on sale it was a perfect solution for me.
Pros: Horizontal screen resolution, IPS display, several input options.
Pros: good pixel density for general computing. aspect ratio makes for excellent side by side window work. colors are really vivid. good viewing angle. no dead pixels. extra pixels are nice for tools when recording. vesa mount. fits on my small desk quite well.
Cons: uneven backlight. backlight bleed through on dark sections. same verticle height as my 16:10 19" display (1440x900) noticible color shift with vertical axis viewing, horizontal is excellent however.
Summary: No I am not a verified owner because I bought this at a local store. Plugged it in and fell in love with it instantly. But.... as I started to play different games to see how everything looked I ran into problems. Kerbal Space looked great and has a setting for this resolution. With DayZ and Skyrim I had to go into the config files and change some things to get it to work. Assassin's Creed Black Flag had a horrible letterbox effect and was unplayable.
Pros: Very wide display, nice picture, sleek design, vesa mount
Cons: low brightness-couldn't get it as bright as my Acer LED, game compatibility issues
