Summary: My only real gripe is the back light bleed. It's to be expected getting such a good deal as it is free from any other noticeable defects. It's most jarring between black loading screens (where you can also see it but not to the same extent in other areas of the monitor) and when playing games with day night cycles or shadows (thief, far cry).
Pros: Great deal at 140 dollars, good looking display once adjusted Very thin and lightweight Very crisp colors Menu buttons No annoying LEDs while in use No dead pixels
Cons: Default color settings don't do this monitor justice Base is a bit wobbly when typing Moderate amount of backlight bleed in the lower left corner
Summary: I just happened to catch this one on sale. It comes with VGA cable to set it up with. Do not try to set it up initially with the HDMI cable. It will not work. It doesn't come with any spam type software. The set-up disk simply has the drivers. The clarity of this monitor is simply awesome. I'm using a G-force video card. At first I thought the monitor was unstable until I found the base had a cable under it. I fixed that issue and found it to be very stable platform.

Summary: This is a good looking monitor with a terrible design flaw. Many people won't see it but some rocket scientist at LG thought it would be a good idea to turn off the monitor's backlight if the scene being viewed is too dark. Once the scene becomes what the LG engineers determine is adequately lit, the backlight comes back on.
Pros: Just an update of my previous review, after testing the Response Time option, I've found turning it off does in fact make mouse movements more snappy. Obviously you'd expect this, but sometimes products have misleading features and I just wanted to clarify.
Summary: RMA process was easy and fast. Thanks to Newegg. It's good monitor overall, but if you concern about backlight bleeding you may want to shop other brand or non-ips monitor. I have Ultrasharp 24 from 2013, which also had minor issue with backlight bleeding. I guess it's IPS problem. Anyways, very happy for this product.
Pros: Good value. I bought this for my parents. $139+tax and free shipping. great viewing angle and crisp picture.
Cons: First one had bad backlight bleeding. RMA and got replacement. Replacement still had some backlight bleeding but tolerable compare to first one. only 1 HDMI and 1 dsub.
Pros: Love this monitor. Its super light, its super thin and it looks amazing. Having another HDMI or DVI would have been nice but i got this on sale and not having the extra port was worth the savings.
Summary: Comes with Energy Saving option ON by default, so turn this off if you don't want it to randomly dim and lighten while in use. My settings are: -Brightness- 60, Contrast: 73 -Response Time- High (it says this is better for faster scenes, but I have yet to tinker with it) -Sharpness- 5 -Black Level- High(Low makes them much darker, but details can be harder to see) -Overscan: Off -Gamma: Gamma1 (tweak this when changing Black Level) -Color Temp: Medium (default is Warm,...
Pros: -Price (got mine for $145+free shipping) -Great viewing angles -Matte screen -Tactile menu buttons -Easy stand setup -Very good colors (after some tweaking) -No ghosting -No defective pixels When I initially set this up, I wasn't all that impressed after hearing how great IPS monitors are supposed to look, the color seemed a bit dingey and darks were missing some detail, but then I got into the settings and now it is beautiful. I mainly play games and watch videos on ...
Cons: -Only D-Sub and HDMI inputs -Audio jack comes straight out of the back by video inputs (I don't use it anyway) -Settings adjustments required -VERY SLIGHT light bleed on bottom if you look for it in dark scenes (I shouldn't even really mention this as it's not noticeable)
