Great product. Feel there is more to be desired though

Summary: I like the way it looks and the screen works great for gaming and video quality. I would otherwise give it a 4/5 rating (because of the flexibility and 'weakness' of the stand) if it was not for the stepping line developing in the middle of my screen after about 6-8 months of use.
Pros: I purchased the LG 24MP55HQ-P 24-inch monitor to upgrade from a dell 720p VGA monitor. I have dealt with other 1080p gaming monitors throughout my time, but the dell was just a fit until last year. The item arrived in working condition and the color depth is amazing. Using a HDMI input to play my...
Cons: After using the monitor for about 6-8 months, i noticed a 'separation' line (or dead pixels) in the middle of screen of about an inch to an inch and a half in length. They are diagonal with a 'stepping' look. The line show itself in bright environments such as the desk top or browsing through the...
Summary: Overall this is a good monitor. I don't think it's fit for gaming but it does what I need it to do. As of yet I don't have the color leak issue that others have. I got it on sale and was able to use an additional promo code for $20 off. I'm happy with this purchase so far.
Pros: Good color Very thin Mountable
Cons: No DVI No direct buttons to change brightness, contrast, etc
Summary: I have had ASUS, Dell, LG, and for the price this one isn't anything to complain about. Like stated other reviews the stand isn't the strongest and it is really light. Not as strong as the ASUS or Dell so if you are planning on using this in a workshop or any other place that it may take some abuse...
Pros: This monitor for the price is a awesome. It has great resolution. The monitor sold me on the price vs. the image quality.
Cons: Some of the menus are awkward to scroll through in the dark or in a dimly lit room without any lights on the face of the frame to assist with adjusting the monitor. This is the only reason that I took off an egg.
Pros: It is very great and is a PERFECT monitor for gaming. It is 1080p, tms, and IPS which is the best. I have no Backlight Bleeding like everyone else says. Remember when buying a product that only people who have problems leave reviews people so do not be misled by it. Read up reviews on TomsHardwar...
Cons: Very light, and when i say very light i mean it weighs less than half a pound! I weighed it and it does weigh less than a pound! It is crazy how light this is but that is also a bad thing because if you even blow on the monitor it wobbles just from blowing on it.
Summary: My only real gripe is the back light bleed. It's to be expected getting such a good deal as it is free from any other noticeable defects. It's most jarring between black loading screens (where you can also see it but not to the same extent in other areas of the monitor) and when playing games with...
Pros: Great deal at 140 dollars, good looking display once adjusted Very thin and lightweight Very crisp colors Menu buttons No annoying LEDs while in use No dead pixels
Cons: Default color settings don't do this monitor justice Base is a bit wobbly when typing Moderate amount of backlight bleed in the lower left corner
Summary: This is a good looking monitor with a terrible design flaw. Many people won't see it but some rocket scientist at LG thought it would be a good idea to turn off the monitor's backlight if the scene being viewed is too dark.
Pros: Just an update of my previous review, after testing the Response Time option, I've found turning it off does in fact make mouse movements more snappy. Obviously you'd expect this, but sometimes products have misleading features and I just wanted to clarify.
