Summary: I waited to do this review for the simple fact I like to own a product and see the longevity of it for the review. I've had this monitor for 9 months now and a week ago I got a blue line right down the middle. Then 3 days later a green line .5" to the right of it formed. Both vertical lines. I have it hooked up using a hdmi cable to my PC. I run it at 1920x1280. It's been a great monitor up until then. Didn't even make it a year for casual use.
Summary: The LED monitor has a line down the left side of the screen which was not mentioned in the ad, but I expected something to be wrong with it since it was a steal (and used). Great monitor overall! Absolutely love the picture!
Summary: I'm running 3 of these on my photo editing and gaming computer, they are running on an ATI video card. I use photoshop and lightroom for my photo editing, and I have color calibrated these monitors using a Spyder calibration tool. The monitors calibrate consistently well. The thin bezels on these are excellent for running 3 together side by side to minimize the gap between displays. Fantastic monitor, nice dark blacks, and rich colors.
Summary: Bought this same model cheaper at Best Buy. But I wouldn't do it over again. LG quality has taken a hit for some reason. It is flimsy to start and the stand, while rotating don't raise or lower. They have taken to providing a "strap" to secure the monitor attachment to the stand. That's right, you actually need to use a "tie strip" to hold the darn thing together. While color clarity is great the contrast tends to work by itself.
Beautiful screen. Low-brightness issue mentioned elsewhere not in evidence

Summary: Operating environment: DVI-D connection to NVIDIA NVS-5400M in three-monitor setup. I did a lot of research on 23" screens before purchasing the LG 23EA63V. One thing I noticed was a lot of people complaining about low brightness, even when brightness control set to top of scale. I compared the LG to several other brands on simultaneous display (same content), including models from Samsung, Dell, & HP and found the LG to be tied with the brightest.
Summary: The LG website states this monitor has only a 1,000 contrast ratio, and Amazon says it is about 10 million. Not sure who to believe. I understand there are not firm standards for firms reporting the contrast ratio, but it is important to me.
