Lenovo L220x

The L220x is Lenovo’s 22-inch LCD monitor from its ThinkVision product line. It measures 20.1 x 10.8 x 14.8 inches, weighs in at 17 pounds and is available only in business black. The L220x’s base allows for numerous adjustments: 30 degrees of backward tilt; +/- 45 degrees of swivel; pivot and up to 4.33 inches of height adjustments. For even greater adjustability, the L220x comes with a detachable base and VESA 100 mm standard mounting holes.

Display Features

The most notable features of the Lenovo L220x are its high-quality S-PVA panel, which provides better color accuracy than TN panels, and its native resolution of 1920 x 1200 pixels. The L220x is, in fact, the first 22-inch monitor to run at the WUXGA resolution. With its S-PVA panel, the monitor has 92% color gamut and has viewing angles of 178 degrees on both horizontal and vertical planes. Brightness levels are rated at 325cd/m2, contrast ratio at 1200:1 and a 6 ms gray-to-gray response time.

Because of its high-quality panel, the L220x is suited for color critical work such as graphic design but the response time is also fast enough for gaming and movie playback. Furthermore, its native WUXGA resolution allows for improved productivity when working with multiple documents and, with support for HDCP, can also playback High Definition content at full HD resolution.

Connectivity

The Lenovo L220x has one port each for D-SUB VGA and DVI-D and four USB ports. Also notable is the dual-input feature. With two computer systems connected to the monitor simultaneously (one on VGA and the other on DVI), on-the-fly switching of inputs is possible without a KVM.
