Finally got one

fgh628, Ebay
6 November 2010
  • Summary: I am a amature photographer on a budget. My research indicated that the LaCie 324 was the best available for what I do. Spent several months looking and bidding to get this product. Well worth the time and effort not to mention the savings. The monitor is supurb with extra fine detail and vivid and accurate color. Will recommend it to friends and others.

Good Monitor, Lousy Controls

Cenozoic, B&H Photo
12 March 2009
  • Summary: The monitor appear to be a good value, once it's set up. My only complaint is that the adjustment controls are almost unusable. It took me about 5 times as long to use them as I would have spent with actual buttons.
  • Pros: Accurate Colors
  • Cons: Awful controls

Extreme Quality Graphics Display

Jaybird, Amazon
8 March 2009
  • Summary: I already own a LaCie 321 monitor at my office, and there is nothing that can touch it for clarity and color reproduction... especially as we do a lot of graphics work. It is better than our Mac with a 30-inch monitor, normally touted to be good. For that reason, I purchased the LaCie 324 as a monitor for my Vista 64-bit computer at the house. It is remarkable in detail and color reproduction. It would be hard to find anything better on the market...

No More Headaches

dedicated amateur, B&H Photo
11 February 2009
  • Summary: Best monitor I've ever used. Literally eased the headaches I used to get sitting in front of a screen. Great color. Terrific phot definition and resolution. Easy to set up, though manual is truly only a one-star document.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors

Great Monitor

general, B&H Photo
30 November 2008
  • Summary: Great monitor. My only complaint (and it is minor) is that the instructions don't always match this particular model. Setup is simple and fast. Resolution is outstanding. Calibration is simple. In fact, I would prefer more controls but the results are totally satisfactory. I am a wildlife/bird photographer and require a monitor that insures my prints are what I see: this does that.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors

Great Pro-Photo Monitor

Click Photography, B&H Photo
14 October 2008
  • Summary: I'm a professional portrait photographer who does lots of creative color-tinting and artistic effects...and I design my own album spreads too...so with so much of my work I rely on my color-calibrating over my lab doing it for me. Having a monitor that will allow me to correctly edit photos is a MUST.Happily surprising...the monitor was perfect straight out of the box. I've had it for a couple of weeks and haven't needed to spend any time on messing with the settings.
  • Pros: Adjustable, COLOR Accurate, Little to no glare, Vivid Colors
  • Cons: Not really sharp

Outstanding Color, Some Lag

Eärendil, B&H Photo
5 October 2008
  • Summary: Just purchased this monitor and before I even calibrated it, I could see a difference from my old Mitsubishi 2060u. After calibrating with my GMB i1 Display 2, it was amazing. The advertised color gamut is no lie, the greens look outstanding. Unfortunately, aside from photo editing, I also do gaming. It should be noted that the colors in games on this monitor are just as outstanding as for photo editing, but there is some input lag and ghosting.
  • Pros: Adjustable, Lightweight, Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
  • Cons: Input Lag, Pixel Persistence

Good Monitor; RGB controls hidden

mewickham, B&H Photo
28 July 2008
  • Summary: The monitor is clear, bright, and beautiful, and has a wide gamut for color calibration work with photos. I like the monitor. I hate the manual. It does not mention how to find the RGB controls, which are very well hidden. To find them, you have to display the onscreen menu, then select a color temperature of "Custom." Then push the "Input" button. Nowhere in the manual are the RGB controls even mentioned, let alone how to use them.
  • Pros: Sharp Image, Vivid Colors
  • Cons: Poor Manual

Absolutely LOVE it !!!

Debbie pro photographer, B&H Photo
30 June 2008
  • Summary: This monitor came highly recommended from other pros and I have to tell you, I was very pleased right from the moment I turned the monitor on. Not only is the real estate an impressive 24", after tweaking with a reputable calibrator, the accuracy of the color is right on. Can't complain about the price either - all other pro monitors were just way too expensive to justify the cost - until now. High quality, big display and accurate color at an affordable price.
  • Pros: Accurate color, Adjustable, Sharp Image, Versatile, Vivid Colors
