Summary: I buy allot of monitors. Usually i stick to brands like samsung and LG. They are good quality and provide a good ROI. I saw this monitor on offer. Its High Res and nice looks got me interested so i read around and reviews were generally good so i took the plunge.

Conclusion: I agonised long and hard over whether the enormous price hike for a 2560x1440 resolution monitor could ever be worth it, especially when you can have 2 'normal' monitors of the same size for a lot less money! In the end though, I bit the bullet and opted to buy this monitor and wow, what a display.
Summary: Bought this model through Amazon but not from this supplier. My old tower PC does not have the modern terminals so I have to use the VGA cable from my old Iiyama 17 inch. Reduced brightness to 80% and all is fine.
Summary: It is true, I am not the authority on 27inch monitors, but I have to say that I am well impressed with the Iiyama XB2779QS. Ok if you have the cash you will probably go for the Apple display, but at about half the price this Iiyama gives a fabulous image & looks good.
Best match of the thunderbolt display for almost half the price!

Summary: The monitor works perfectly well with my late 2014 mac mini. For those concerned about connectivity I have used a good quality mini DP to DP cable which provides the default resolution of 2560*1440. The build quality is very good and the glossy finish provides rich vibrant colours.
Summary: Good product, but spoiled by IIyama's supply of the wrong DVI cable. Getting the full 2560x1440 resolution requires a dual-link DVI cable, and they supplied a single link DVI!
