Summary: Good product, but spoiled by IIyama's supply of the wrong DVI cable. Getting the full 2560x1440 resolution requires a dual-link DVI cable, and they supplied a single link DVI! Result - 2560x1440 (the reason I bought the display) was heavily pixellated and looked absolutely horrid (small text illegible).
Summary: I'm a fan of iilyama monitors and have had several. The good. Looks great, well made, fantastic detail and great price. Now the bad. Way, way too bright and backlight bleeding that's deadful. To give you an idea I've got it set at zero brightness with max eco setting and its still bright and bleeds over a dark screen at the edges. Will it be going back? Not decided yet. It might yet have enough redeeming features, but be warned.

Summary: This is a very good monitor. I'm not an expert on monitors and don't understand the concept of backlight bleeding mentioned in other reviews, so I guess I haven't experienced it. But I know that I have had this monitor for over 6 months as my main gaming monitor (paired to a GTX780) and I am very happy with it. Be aware that you will need a powerful graphics card if you want to game at high quality settings on the full 2560x1440 resolution.
A Beautiful Monitor Completely Riddled With Design Flaws
2 September 2014
Summary: I'll do this review in a semi pros and cons to be fair to Iiyama but I don't pander to any corporate so some things need to be said about this model. Pros: This is a stunning monitor in many ways. Incredible brightness beyond many others on the market. Colour rendition is exceptional (caveat in Cons below). Very vibrant and dynamic. Good range of calibration and presets if needed. The design of this monitor obviously mirrors Apples Cinema displays and is beautiful.
Summary: This is a great screen. I bought it (with a desk stand) to be used with a MacBook Pro (13" Non-retina). It looks great. It is clear and sharp. An excellent screen The (very) recent update to handle external screen seems to have improved the connection & communication between the Mac and the screen.
Description was a lie. Scratches and loads of backlight bleeding!

Summary: I bought the Monitor Used - "Item has no cosmetic imperfections. All accessories are present and undamaged." Lies! The monitor had longer (10cm) and some shorter (3-5cm) scratches on silver part of the bottom of the screen. I was expecting to reveive scratch free monitor as again the seller described this item as: "no cosmetic imperfections". Monitor has loads and I mean loads of backlight bleeding.
Summary: Have been looking at the various 27" 2560 x 1440 monitors available & eventually chose this one - based on the reviews being good and liking the appearance better than the others (Dell etc.). Very pleased with it so far - I mainly use it for photo editing, and while there is a little bit of backlight bleed it's not an issue for me - I can only really see it when the screen is totally black.
Summary: Amazing value for such a large, high quality display. Not having any issues with reflection (unlike the current Thunderbolt display I use at work). It's nicely made and looks great, the stand will put the screen in just about any position I need. Controls are maddening and impossible to use at night, but once you have it set up how you like, there's really little reason to have to play around with them.
