Pros: Great resolution. I love this resolution and size.
Cons: Eye strain and heat. Two people have used this monitor and found it caused eye strain. When using it my eyes started watering all day long even when away from the monitor. Stopped using it and no more watering. Repeated cycle once to be sure and now it sits in the corner. The monitor is hot with ...
Poor Quality Control - steer clear - not for Professional Use
30 January 2013
Summary: I'm on my 4th ZR30w monitor, and soon to be on my 5th! The quality control on this product is absolutely unacceptable. I'm a professional photographer, and I expected this wide gamut monitor to not have blatantly obvious color shifts.
Watch out Apple users ! HP does NOT have your back.

Summary: Its a unfinished product with a major and crippling defect. HP do not stand behind their products. Excuses and lies. Apple users !! NO !! Buy the Apple Cinema display !! This is a mistake and you will sorely regret it.
Pros: Its a nice looking display. The colors are crisp. The picture even.
Cons: The big issue with this monitor for me is that using a 2012 Mac Mini it does not wake up from sleep 1/3 of the time. Also it does not wake up on initial power up 1/3 of the time. A huge inconvenience I am constantly losing my work. I have exchanged both the cable (three times) and the mac mini. S...
Summary: Monitor had two problems. First, it makes a humming noise when the brightness is dropped below 100%. Second, the blue led is supposed to flash when the brightness up/down is pushed, but it did not. The first HP tech support person was in India.
Pros: Nice looking screen, large.
Cons: Quality control problems, requires a monster video card to drive.
Summary: Sadly, since I no longer have the same serial number monitor and box, I can't return it to the original place where I purchased it. I've had this monitor for 30 days, and I'm surprised that HP can't simply send me a new unit instead of the never ending succession of broken refurbished units.
Pros: Great screen if you get a good one. These monitors are great if you get a good one.
Cons: But, if you get a bad one and decide to use HP's warranty, prepare for the worst experience of your life. I started out with a screen that had a stuck bright pixel. If I had just returned the screen where I originally bought it I would have gotten my money back. Instead I decided to use HP's warr...
Summary: A lot of the positive comments here seem to be from gamers. I agree videos look great on this monitor. However if you are using the monitor for programming -- I found the brightness to be far too strong even at the lowest level.
Pros: No dead pixels, very nice stand.
Cons: I use this display for programming, not gaming, and it is much too bright even at the lowest brightness setting. Compared to my smaller Samsung display, the blacks are noticably brighter on this display. The display has no controls other than brightness - and even after spending a long time messi...
Cons: 30 days into the game the screen goes completely black, you can tell the lights on because you see the relection around the edge of the screen.had one dead pixel on day opened, which you dont see that hardly any more.
Summary: These monitors are great if you get a good one. But, if you get a bad one and decide to use HP's warranty, prepare for the worst experience of your life. I started out with a screen that had a stuck bright pixel.
Summary: I am not going to accept a third replacement!
Cons: Appears to not work with nVidia fx 4500 workstation class display adapter which is technically capable of running 2 (two) 2560 x 1600 displays simultaneously. HP cannot advise which adapters this monitor CAN work with. Call to business support could not resolve the issue and they also failed to c...
